1 FFMC Junior State Convention 2018 NEW Digital Parking Kiosk Information for Parking at UNF UNF has adopted a virtual parking permit program, effective July 1, Paper permits are no longer sold or distributed on campus. Vehicles parked on campus must pay a $5.00 per day parking fee and register their license plate number, which serves as their virtual permit. There are three options for paying the parking fee and obtaining a digital permit. This document outlines instructions for all three options. Kiosks accept cash, credit and debit cards as payment. 1. Whoosh! Parking Website Pages Whoosh! Parking Mobile App Pages On-Campus Kiosk Pages 9-10 Campus is patrolled by Parking Services vehicles, which are equipped with license plate scanners. Vehicles parked without a digital permit (registering their license plate in the kiosk system) may be ticketed. Page 1

2 Want to avoid waiting at the UNF pay-by-plate kiosks? Purchase your UNF virtual parking permit IN ADVANCE using the Whoosh! website. Website Instructions: Can Be Used PRIOR TO & Day of Show: 1. Type in your web browser. Click Create Account. 2. Select United States from the country list and click Continue. Page 2

3 3. Complete the required account setup information, check I accept the terms and conditions, check I m not a Robot and complete the Captcha task. Click Confirm. 4. Add your payment information by clicking Add Card and completing the required information. Page 3

4 5. Click Add a vehicle. 6. Enter your license plate and state of your car s registration and click Save. Page 4

5 7. Select University of North Florida from the drop down menu under Select a Zone and click Search. A map showing the Whoosh parking kiosks at UNF will appear. Click on the large dark blue dot, which appears at the top left corner of the Fine Arts Center on the map. It s identifier will pop up in a white rectangle that says Garage 44 1 st Floor FAC Front Entrance 12. Page 5

6 8. Confirm your parking for the day of the event you are attending and click Confirm. Your virtual permit is good for the entire calendar day of your selected date. Your virtual parking permit has been created. You do NOT need to display anything in your vehicle. Enjoy the show! Page 6

7 Want to avoid waiting at the UNF pay-by-plate kiosks? Purchase your UNF virtual parking permit using the Whoosh! smartphone app. Smartphone App Instructions Use Day of Show ONLY: 1. Download the FREE Whoosh! app to your device. 2. Open the app and select United States from the country list. 4. Complete the required account setup information, check I accept the terms and conditions and click Finish. 5. Add your payment information. 3. Select Sign Up from the bottom of the screen. Page 7

8 6. Click Add a vehicle. 9. The app will show you two parking kiosks which are adjacent to the UNF Fine Arts Center. Click the one labeled Garage 44 1 st Floor FAC Front Entrance Enter your license plate and state of your car s registration and click Save this vehicle. 8. The app will use your location to find the nearest Whoosh! parking sites, which should be University of North Florida. Click on the large dark blue dot, which will have a pop-up identifier that says 2 parking meters. Click on the identifier. 10. Confirm your parking for that day. The app can only be used day of show because date cannot be changed. Your virtual parking permit has been created. You do NOT need to display anything in your vehicle. Enjoy the show! Page 8

10 Instructions for On-Campus UNF Pay-By-Plate Parking Kiosks 1) Drive up to kiosks at campus entrances, or park in preferred lot and walk to nearest kiosk. (locations can be found on campus map) a. Make sure to park nose-in so that your license plate is visible from the driving lane. b. Take note (or take a picture) of your vehicle license plate to enter at the kiosk. 2) At Kiosk, press 1 for Pay By Plate Parking using Cash or Cards: a. Enter License Plate Number and follow on-screen prompts to pay the $5.00 per vehicle parking fee. Note: The State of Florida does not use the letter O, only number zeros. b. Kiosk will print receipt of purchase this does NOT need to be placed in vehicle window. Page 10
