Not at the level of the event in general A lot of signs and banners Nothing about these areas is memorable E NTRANCE / LO BBY AREA The entrance area both outside and inside worked fine in all practical manners. However, both areas seemed generic and disconnected from the festival topic, and there is a lot of room for improvement. What gave away that this was a major science festival 4with some of the world's most famous scientists? Few magic spots and moments Festival topic is not reflected by the venue Lack of decent food/lunch C O NFERENCE HALL/ MAIN VENUE options E XHIBITION HALL Few vegetarian alternatives Free coffee/tea How user centred design and water and sci-fi movies The main stage area was excellent and way It was a little hard to grasp the concept of the Few above expectation. Mediocre Exhibition hall F OOD/ REFRESHMENTS Food was definitely not the highlight of the festival. With only a small cafeteria inside and a couple of food tents outside, there were few options and lot of waiting. Participants were informed in advance to bring their own lunch, but not all received the message. Free coffee/tea and buns was a small bonus, but not exactly brain food or in line with the overall quality of the festival. Crisp and clear sound in entire venue A bit short distance between seat rows No problem to find a good seat Excellent main conference hall Venue feels full at all times Captivating atmosphere Sound effects Lights Looks nothing like a sweaty sports arena Starmus branding MULTIPLE PROGRAMMES/CONTENT OVERVIEW There were several changes to the programme before and during the festival, combined with multiple programme sources, this created some confusion. However, as there were few parallel events, participants did not miss out much. What efforts could be made to keep participants well informed and prepared? And, what tools could help prioritizing events to attend?
