2 Welcome to the nonprofit Hiway Theater The Hiway Theater is a nonprofit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization. A D M I S S I O N General...$11.25 Members...$6.75 Seniors (62+) & Students...$9.00 Matinees Mon, Tues, Thurs & Fri before 4:30 Sat & Sun before 2:30...$9.00 Wed Early Matinee before 2:30...$8.00 Affiliated Theater Members*...$6.75 You must present your membership card to obtain membership discounts. The above ticket prices are subject to change. THANK YOU MEMBERS! Your membership is the foundation of the theater s success. Without your membership support, we would not exist. Thank you for being a member. Contact us with your feedback or questions at x115 or us at comments@hiwaytheater.org. Why the ticket increase? Because our film distributors require it. Each movie we screen is supplied by a film distributor. They charge us about half of the ticket price. However, our prices have been so low that they have been adding a surcharge to our rental fees. We first announced this anticipated change almost a year ago. We delayed the change as long as we could, but it is finally time to implement it. *Affiliated Theater Members All members of our theater are entitled to members tickets at all Renew Theaters (Ambler, County, Garden, and Hiway), as well as at participating Art House Theaters nationwide. For more information, visit our website. Give us feedback. Your film experience is the most important thing to us, so we welcome your feedback. Please let us know what we can do better. Contact us at , or comments@hiwaytheater.org. 3 MAIN ATTRACTIONS Main Attractions What main films will play at the Hiway? Predicting in advance what films will play at our beloved one-screen Hiway is the biggest challenge that we face. It is very hard to know ahead of time. The films listed here are an educated guess. Our website is always the best place to get up-to-the-minute information. Scheduling our main films is weekto-week. On Monday, we decide what main film will play starting that Friday. On Tuesday and Wednesday, we set the showtimes for the upcoming week and then update our website and telephone hotline. We also send out a weekly (sign up at our website). Sometimes, we book a main film a few weeks in advance, which we post on our website. For our latest Main Attractions plans, visit: HiwayTheater.org. (Or call our Hotline at ) Isle of Dogs USA - Wes Anderson - 1 hr 45 min Indie master Wes Anderson presents his second stop-motion animation film. Set in a future dystopia where all dogs are quarantined due to a mysterious canine flu, a young boy travels to an island in search of his lost companion, Spots. Hilariously inventive and stylish with an unbelievable cast including Frances McDormand, Greta Gerwig, Scarlett Johansson, Bryan Cranston, Jeff Goldblum, Ed Norton, Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton, Koyo Rankin, and Harvey Keitel. Foxtrot Israel - Samuel Maoz - 1 hr 48 min w/ subtitles This Israeli film, told in three parts, opens as parents hear the news that something has gone awry at their son s military post. An artful family drama that also serves as a meditation on global conflict, this innovative and exciting film took home the Silver Lion at the 74th Venice International Film Festival. Starring Lior Ashkenazi and Sarah Adler. Disobedience USA - Sebastián Lelio - 1 hr 54 min Sebastián Lelio directs Rachel Weisz and Rachel McAdams in this adaptation of Naomi Alderman s novel about a woman who returns home to her Orthodox Jewish community in London and rekindles a romance with her cousin s wife. Fantastic performances from its two lead actresses who take us on a complex, emotional journey. Beirut USA - Brad Anderson - 1 hr 49 min A tightly plotted period espionage thriller with a script by Tony Gilroy stars a fasttalking Jon Hamm as a U.S. diplomat working with the CIA in 1980s war-torn Beirut. An intelligent, multi-layered, and strikingly entertaining ride that explores the question whom can you trust in a time of war? Also featuring Rosamund Pike.

4 Special programs SPRING 2018 Classic Thursdays H The Hiway Theater has a new year-round film series: Classic Thursdays. We will have a classic film every other Thursday night. Dates subject to change. Due to the fact that we are a single screen theater, we occasionally must postpone special classic screenings. This happens due to unavoidable contractual obligations with our distributors. Any change will be announced at least a week ahead of time, and will result in pushing the date forward or back one week. So before you come, please check our website or hotline for confirmation. Why? Because that s how the movie biz works. Believe us, we wouldn t have this subject to change policy if we didn t have to. (If we made the rules, we d show 3 or 4 different films every week!) But that s not how the movie business works, so we must be flexible in programming these special titles. All things considered, this is the best way to bring you the most varied programs possible. Stay up-to-date by . The best way to be aware of everything happening at the Hiway is to get our weekly . You can sign up right from our website. Each week, we will let you know about the Hiway s upcoming films and events. We ll also let you know about the screenings at our sister theater, the Ambler, which members can attend for the same member price as the Hiway. Ticket prices for Classic Thursdays.
