4 4 Institution Stand Number Government of Catalonia - Catalan Arts Catalan Arts is the framework programme hosted by the Catalan Institute for Cultural Companies to foster the Catalan cultural and creative companies worldwide and help building links between Catalan creators and international professionals. The Catalan Institute for Cultural Companies (ICEC) is a public institution attached to the Catalan Ministry of Culture that aims to support, promote and foster the development of the Catalan cultural and creative industry: audiovisual, books, digital, music, performing arts and visual arts. ICEC s Market Development Department facilitates the access of Catalan cultural and creative companies to national and international markets. Via its network of offices around Europe (Barcelona, Berlin, Brussels, London and Paris) it works on a variety of lines of action funding, connecting, mentoring, advocating, promoting and supporting creative companies in their international activity. Under the brand of Catalan Arts, it strengthens the Catalan cultural and creative companies presence at international fairs and key events. It also coordinates and supports the strategic marketplaces and professional events taking place in Catalonia. Catalan Arts online platform ( offers all kind of useful materials and resources to both Catalan professionals seeking to develop their projects internationally and professionals from other countries looking for artistic productions and to establish contact with their creators and promoters.

It has been held every year since 1998 and has become a setting for professional exchange to sell and buy productions. Fira Mediterrània is an interdisciplinary event and the programme covers all artistic languages and different formats at venues or in the street, for adult or family audiences. It is formed by members of Traüt cia. d espectacles and Forani Teatre, both with more than 15 years of experience in street theatre and performance. Bigolis dramatic proposal is based on using different disciplines of street performance: puppets, circus, music, dance...always with the presence of a mobile machine handled by the performers. Ding, dong, ding, dong...rings the jingle bell s music, the gears start moving...tic-tac, tic-tac...it s time! Clowns fill the stage where quarrels and passions are mixed. From inside the clock, magic appears and floods everything. In the stories created by the company, the characters look like Swiss clockmakers appearing from the clock. The machine-like movement executed by the actors makes the characters seem timeless. This unique Christmas show includes special Christmas characters and their way of celebrating this magic season. Street Theatre Since 1986, when La Tal was founded, the theatrical concept, the visual perception and the interpretive technique have evolved from the classic circus clown figure into the creation of an entire universe of its own, in which characters, aesthetics, and situations are decidedly positioned in a type of humorous theatre that is totally up to date, in which the images and the stories, with the aid of sporadic words, give the shows an ideal equilibrium. Toti Toronell Toti Toronell, clown and director, was born in Olot in He set up his first circus company in At that moment he discovered that the clown s and theatre s world were his passion. A universe that he has created with his own hands: automatons, puppets and humor are mixed in order to make sense of Libèlul la. Puppetry This circus performance is full of the handling of wooden objects that imposes a different way of the understanding of verticals and balances with its main idea to transmit to the public the ability to disconnect themselves... Come here and we will go back to the past... if you want to come with, we will go back, back, back to those days of our childhood... when we always played together and we played a lot... Performance Circ Pistolet is born out of the encounter of the artists Enric Petit and Rat Serra, who began to work together in 2003 in the world of circus arts. In 2012 the company expanded to 6 members and already in 2014 they obtained 5 nominations in Zirkolika Awards and won the best Director Award among the Grand Prize BBVA-Zirkolika as the best circus show in Catalonia for their performance Incert. In 2014 Enric and Tomàs created a short version of their new spectacular show Quan no tocàvem de peus a terra. These castaways arrive, they meet each other, they play, they search... They share... with other castaways. A meeting with the audience, an exchange. Two castaways that may leave a seed wherever they go and may pick up some others that will transform their own lives. A tribute to all travellers that once felt castaway. La Industrial Teatrera Stand Number La Industrial Teatrera is a circus and street theatre company specialising in clowning. It is a Catalonia-Madrid mix born out of the meeting between Jaume Navarro and Mamen Olias in 2002, two artists with many years of professional experience in various theatre and circus companies and projects. These two multidisciplinary artists created the company with the aim of communicating with the audience through smiles, laughter and emotions. La Petita Malumaluga is a music and dance company specialized in shows for the very young (0-6 years) with a wide professional experience working with some of Europe s most significant companies. 18 18 Stand number Las Polis The theatre company Las Polis was founded in 2011, and is the fruit of the French/Spanish clown duo- Fanny and Marta. Fanny and Marta have developed their clown work over several years in France and Spain. Passionate about their art, they give their all to develop and deepen this art that allows them to share their emotions and make fun of their own weaknesses. The company has chosen to create a show aimed mainly at a general public. 20 20 Stand number Orquestra de Cambra de l Empordà With the premiere in 2014, Concerto a Tempo d Umore has already made more than 100 performances. It has been a great success in the Avignon Festival of Theatre ( ) and also in each tour at the big theatres and auditoriums of France, Switzerland and Spain. We are a Catalan orchestra from Figueres, the land of Salvador Dalí, and the show has that Mediterranean energy and a point of surrealism, with different readings when watched by an adult, a teenager or a child. A show produced for an audience between 2 and 5 years, through which they can approach the theatre and its sensations in a special way. Loo is an Asian wind, warm and dry, which blows on summer afternoons, and the show is a revelation of its hard task of pushing the desert sand dunes and devastating the damp areas, jungles and oceans. It leaves the ships paralyzed in the middle of a sandy sea, striking down forever and ever their chance to sail again. Children Unconventional Theatre Ponten Pie Stand Number Ponten Pie is a company created and directed by the actor Sergi Ots. The company was born as a platform for this artist to carry out personal projects related to the performing arts, thus having a personal and independent space for creation. Ponten Pie was born with the objective of seeking unusual and different interpretation and staging in its projects, trying to reach the audience in a particular way by directly involving them in the story they are witnessing. 24 24 Stand Number Psirc PSiRC is the trio formed by Anna Pascual, Wanja Kahlert and Adrià Montaña. Since 2011, and with a strong foundation in the circus arts and in handling techniques, they explore new and very intimate acrobatic and creative languages. The collaboration culminated with the 2013 premiere of Acrometria, their first show, a piece full of energy and emotion. PuntMoc was conceived as a theater company, totally focused on comic physical theater and absurd humor.
