The playwright was inspired by her religious studies and interest in both Roman and Greek mythology. The comical production takes place atop Mount Olympus in the midst of a heated debate between the Roman Pantheon leaders, as they realize their jobs are in jeopardy due to the growing popularity of someone named Jesus. Christian audiences will fall in love with this stage play as it compares the capabilities of Roman gods to the power and authority of Jesus. During the movement, students from Atlanta University, Clark College (now Clark Atlanta University), the Interdenominational Theological Center, Morehouse College and Spelman College organized protests to end legalized segregation practices in Atlanta. The exhibit also ties the student-led, civil rights protests of the 1960s with today s youth-led protests, such as #AUCShutItDown, #ItsBiggerThanYou and the Black Lives Matter movement.
