2 Breeding Objectives Our breeding objectives are based on profitability for the commercial farmer. We use all the science and technology available to us, along with robust stockmanship to breed Terminal and Maternal rams to return our clients maximum profit. We focus on Meat and Growth traits because at present the biggest financial return is from fast growing and high meat yielding lambs. Texel ewe and lambs Meatmaker

In todays farming environment it is essential that you get maximum financial returns from your sheep farming enterprise. We are confident that all rams on sale have the genetics that will enable you to achieve this. Over the last 12 months we have extended our DNA testing to include parentage. DNA testing enables us to select sires with more accuracy to make superior genetic gain in both our terminal and maternal flocks. results are included in this catalogue. Our auction gives all sheep farmers the opportunity to take advantage of the comprehensive breeding programmes we use at Wharetoa. Thank you for your ongoing support. 4 Conditions Of Sale 1. Sale will be conducted by PGG Wrightson in accordance with the conditions of sale as set down by the New Zealand Stock & Station Agents Association, copy of which is exhibited at the sale venue. 2. Sheep will be offered as catalogued, subject only to final draft. 3. All intending purchasers must register prior to commencement of sale. 4. Each lot shall become the property and responsibililty of the purchaser on the fall of the hammer. 5. Terms will be strictly cash before taking delivery of any animal unless prior arrangements are made with the autioneers. Accounts not paid within 14 days of the sale shall bear interest at current rates per annum from date of purchase. 6. Sale will be conducted GST exclusive. 7. Purchasers must give complete delivery instructions to the office using one of the delivery instruction sheets in the back of the catalogue, and receive delivery docket before removing the animals. 8. The description of the sheep in the sale are supplied by the individual vendor who alone is responsible for their accuracy. 9. The vendor guarantees the structural soundness of all rams offered in the sale for six months. 10. The vendor reserves the right to alter the order of sale. 11. Under Health & safety regulations all visitors must take care and responsibility on sale day for their own safety. 12.
