2 Network news..june June June June June June Wirral Loop Line Track Renewal 2017 As part of a 340 million investment in the Liverpool City Region s railways, Network Rail has almost completed the Wirral Loop Line track renewal programme. Spanning six months and carried out in three phases, the work has involved repairing and replacing the track that runs beneath the river between Liverpool and Wirral and around the loop. The work is scheduled for completion by the 18th June, with Wirral Line trains due to revert back to their normal timetables from Monday 19th June 2017 for the latest information visit We appreciate that you will have had to change the way you travelled during the work but we hope that with the arrangements that we put in place, you weren t inconvenienced too much. On behalf of Network Rail, Merseyrail and Merseytravel, we woould like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to all of our customers for their patience and cooperation during this period of disruption.
