4 WELCOME ALUMNI The days are long but the years are short. - Gretchen Rubin As we approach my last Fall concert at WIU, this, one of my favorite quotes, has never meant more to me. I am continually fascinated by the way we experience time in life and especially the way we experience it when making music. It moves quickly! On behalf of the University, the School of Music and Western Illinois University Choirs, I enthusiastically welcome our distinguished choir alumni to this evening s homecoming weekend concert. Thanks for sharing the weekend with our choirs and best wishes for a great concert performance. I sincerely hope that you will take a little Western spirit back with you!
