28 GETTING STARTED GETTING STARTED Installing batteries in the remote control y Remove the transarent sheet before using the remote control. Press 1 Press and hold the mark on the battery cover and then slide off the cover. Oeration range of the remote control The remote control transmits a directional infrared beam. Use the remote control within 6 m of this unit and oint it toward the remote control sensor on this unit during oeration. 2 Insert the two sulied batteries (AA, R6, UM-3) into the battery comartment. Make sure you insert the batteries according to the olarity markings (+/ ). Aroximately 6 m 3 Close the battery cover. Notes Change all of the batteries if you notice the following conditions; the oeration range of the remote control decreases, the indicator does not blink or its light becomes dim.
