Disconnect the ower cable from the outlet, then leave the unit alone. 19 When using the unit for a long time, the unit may become warm. Turn the ower off, then leave the unit alone for cooling. 20 Install this unit near the AC outlet and where the AC ower lug can be reached easily. 21 The batteries shall not be exosed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like. This unit is not disconnected from the AC ower source as long as it is connected to the AC wall outlet, even if this unit itself is turned off. This state is called the standby mode. In this state, this unit is designed to consume a very small quantity of ower. IMPORTANT Please record the serial number of this unit in the sace below. The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter L or coloured RED. 28 GETTING STARTED GETTING STARTED Installing batteries in the remote control y Remove the transarent sheet before using the remote control. Press 1 Press and hold the mark on the battery cover and then slide off the cover. Oeration range of the remote control The remote control transmits a directional infrared beam. Use the remote control within 6 m of this unit and oint it toward the remote control sensor on this unit during oeration. 2 Insert the two sulied batteries (AA, R6, UM-3) into the battery comartment. Make sure you insert the batteries according to the olarity markings (+/ ). Aroximately 6 m 3 Close the battery cover. Notes Change all of the batteries if you notice the following conditions; the oeration range of the remote control decreases, the indicator does not blink or its light becomes dim.
