The integrated timer switch can be used to turn off the lights during the night-time hours. Designated use also includes adherence to the instructions for installation and operation. Any other use is considered contrary to the designated use. The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage resulting from such use. 2. Safety note Installation of electrical devices should only be carried out by a professional electrician. National regulations and safety requirements must be adhered to! Tampering with or making modifications to the device will invalidate the guarantee.
3 3. Opening/closing the device Opening the housing: Fig Selecting an installation location Before selecting an installation location: 1. Remove the cover on the front of the device (see Fig. 1). 2. Turn the two screws 90 in the anticlockwise direction (see Fig. 2). 3. Swing the housing cover upward until it locks. Closing the housing: 1. Swing the housing cover downward (see Fig. 3). The screws are spring-loaded. Fig 2. Fig Press the screw downward using a screwdriver. 3. Turn the screw 90 in the clockwise direction (see Fig. 2). Fig Press the cover onto the front of the device (see Fig. 4). 14 Choose an installation location where the twilight switch will be exposed to little or no dirt. Dirt on the housing interferes with the measurements made by the integral brightness sensor. Light-entry angle of the brightness sensor: approx. 180 Recommended installation location for: - lighting control on private and industrial buildings: north side - street lighting: east side Please note: The light from the lamp switched on by the twilight switch must not interfere with the sensor. Effect of non-compliance: Undesirable feedback may occur
4 5. Installation position 7. Cable connection The device allows two basic types of connection: Cable connection from below (Fig. 1) or Cable connection from behind (see Fig. 2). Fig. 1 Fig. 1 GB 6. Mast installation Fasten the twilight switch to the mast with a standard tube clamp. 1. In either case, use only the cable sleeves provided! 2. In the installation type shown in Fig. 2, the cable sleeves must be used on the bottom of the housing! Effects of non-compliance: IP protection is no longer ensured - water can penetrate into the device and destroy it! 15
