6 Welcome Message Welcome to IMID 2007 and Daegu, heartland of information displays! I would like to extend my cordial invitation to Keynote and Invited Speakers, and all participants and guests. International Meeting on Information Display (IMID 2007) will be devoted to the researches and developments on information display devices along with their business issues. This meeting is its 7th series and is expecting enthusiastic participation from researchers, engineers and business persons of the information displays. This IMID 2007 should provide a forum for discussing the latest researches and developments and to allow researchers and developers working on different aspects to get together. The four-day technical sessions of IMID 2007 will consist of high quality 455 peer-reviewed papers: 212 oral presentations in 57 sessions and 243 poster presentations. The papers cover most recent technical advances in all information display devices. The workshops of IMID 2007 (August 31) will provide recent updates on hot-topics by world renowned experts and the tutorials (August 27) are going to offer comprehensive introduction to the information display technology. The business forum (August 27), co-organized with DisplaySearch, will feature accurate market analyses as well as predictions for future trends of information displays. Finally, IMID 2007 Exhibition in concert with EDIRAK will present the best opportunity for exhibitors to reach a large and diverse audience of information displays. We will make every effort to prepare IMID 2007 a stimulating and meaningful conference, workshop, business forum and exhibition. 7 Program Highlights IMID 2007 CONFERENCE Four-day Technical session features 455 papers, including 2 keynote addresses and 101 invited presentations in 57 sessions. Following the keynote addresses on Tuesday morning, oral presentation of papers will start immediately and continue in six parallel sessions until Friday. The poster session, on Wednesday and Thursday afternoon, should promote interactive presentations in more details. Author interview sessions will be held at each afternoon during the Conference period. At the workshops and tutorials, additional 37 presentations will be made. The registration desk opens at the EXCO Lobby on Monday through Friday from 08:00 to 18:00.
