3 Pin-Out description for WZC- munications Input PINS 6,7 Used when more than one WZC Zone control are used together. This connection would come from the WZC Zone control to the left of it. RS- unication output inputs PINS 8- These connections are used to attach the thermostats to the WZC Zone control. These connection can either be a DRY contact or you can apply. PINS -7 This is a output to power up thermostats. This power is only available if is applied to pins 0,. You can place the available 0va transformer in behind the enclosure and use that to power pin 0,. munications Output PINS, Used when you would like to connect more than one WZC Zone control together. You would connect this to the munications in of the next WZC Zone control. supply from Transformer PINS 0, This is a connection that can be used to connect the output from the 0va transformer that underneath the enclosure of this can be an external transformer connection. This will distribute to the top of the board to power thermostats. It helps to clean up wiring inside the enclosure. 0VAC Transformer power PINS 8,9 Used when you have placed the 0va transformer underneath the enclosure. This will give 0VAC to the primary of the transformer. The output from the transformer would be connected to the supply from the transformer input PINS 0,. Line neutral and ground are to be connected at these pins. Zone PINS, Used to supply power to the outputs for the zones. If 0VAC is applied then the outputs from Zone - will be 0VAC (Zone Pumps). If is applied then Zone - outputs will be (Zone Valves). Zone Outputs PINS - These are the outputs for each Zone. This is where either the Zone pumps or the Zone valves are connected. Demands PINS - PINS, demand. This is a dry contact used to signal the boiler that the WZC Zone control is signalling for a demand at the boiler. PINS, Low Temperature Demand. This is a dry contact used to signal either the boiler or a separate Reset control that the WZC Zone control is signaling for low temperature water to go to the zone that is powered. DIP Switch Settings DIP - Post Purge DIP - Demand Friendly Technology (DFT) ON When dipswitch is set to the ON position then DFT is ON. DFT is a technology that cuts down on wiring of Wilo zone controls to other controls or the boiler. When DFT is set to ON then that zone module becomes the demand output for all the modules attached to it from the left. DFT is only to be set on the last module in the row. This allows the user to only connect the demands from that zone module to the boiler or other control instead of connecting all the demands from each zone module in parallel. The demand will still come on for each of the zone modules where the zone call came from as well allowing the user to use that demand output to run pumps or any other device. OFF When Dipswitch is set to OFF then DFT is OFF, so when a zone is calling it will not communicate to the last zone module in the line that it has a zone calling. DIP - Delay On Output ON When dipswitch is set to the ON position then DELAY ON OUTPUT is ON. This is primarily used for zone valves when we do not want the demand to start until the valve has opened. When the thermostat calls it will turn the zone output on but it will wait 90 seconds to turn either the LTD or demand output on. OFF When Dipswitch is set to OFF then DELAY ON OUTPUT is OFF. There will be no delay on the LTD or demands out put when a zone is calling. ON When dipswitch is set to the ON position then POST PURGE is OFF. This means that when the zone stops calling then the output will immediately shut off. OFF When Dipswitch is set to OFF then POST PURGE is ON, this will keep the zone outputs on for 90 seconds after the thermostat demand has gone away. It will shut off the LTD or demand output associated with that input as well if no other zones are calling. DIP - Module Priority ON When dipswitch is set to the ON position then MODULE priority is ON. When there is a call on any zones then it will shut off all zones on the zone module to the right of it. This includes and LTD zones. OFF When Dipswitch is set to OFF then MODULE priority is off, so when a zone is calling it will not shut off the zones on the zone module to the right of it. DIP - Priority ON When dipswitch is set to the ON position then DWH priority is ON. When there is a call in Zone() then the rest of the zones on that module will shut down. The Priority time is 60 minutes. If the 60 minutes has elapsed and there is still a Zone () call then the module will allow the other zones (if they have heat calls) to now be enabled. OFF When Dipswitch is set to OFF then Zone will act like all other zones.
