5 FishReveal The best parts of echo sounder The new FishReveal feature combines the benefits of fish identifying fis h arches of the traditional echo s ounder with the high res olution bottom detail of DownScan StructureScan. + = The bes t parts of StructureScan 5

6 Before FishReveal To view both fis h Arches and DownScan at the same time you either have to: Sacrifice screen real estate by splitting the screen in two, one side for sonar and one side for DownScan Or you have to toggle back and forth between pages to see your desired information Sonar DownScan Clear fis h arches, but low res olution bottom and s tructure detail. Exceptional bottom res olution and detail, but mis s ing fis h arches. 6

7 Before FishReveal: DownScan Overlay The previous implementation called Downs can Overlay placed the DownScan image on top of the s onar image, but clarity was not that great and the images often conflicted with each other 1) Fis h Arches 2) Bottom Detail 3) Bait Fis h 7

8 FishReveal: Options On the s tructure page, there are now new menu options under Advanced. Toggle FishReveal on or off There is an new Menu Item FishReveal options Control the pallet, gain and color of the overlay 8

9 FishReveal: Options Fis hreveal options Gain Controls the s ens itivity of the FishReveal data on the DownScan image. Increas ing gain s hows more detail on the screen. Decreasing gain displays less. Too much detail clutters the screen. If the gain is s et too low, weak fis h arch data might not be dis played Color Adjus ts the colors of the fis h arch data to help differentiate them from other targets Adjus ting the color can help s eparate fis h and important s tructures on or near the bottom from the actual bottom TVG Wave action and boat wakes can cause onscreen clutter near the surface. The TVG (Time Variable Gain) option reduces surface clutter by decreasing the sensitivity of the receiver near the s urface P alette Select between several display palettes optimized for a variety of fishing conditions Note: Color palette choice is often a user preference, and may vary depending on the fis hing conditions or the DownScan palette chos en. It is bes t to s elect a palette that provides good contras t between DownS can and Fis hreveal arches Note: FishReveal can only be dis played on a s ingle panel of DownScan This feature is not on the original GO7 9

14 Enhanced StructureScan Imaging With this releas e Simrad NSS evo3 continues the tradition of providing the best possible sonar in the market. We have undertaken steps to make our StructureScan and StructureScan 3D, once again, have the bes t quality and clarity in the indus try These change have been implemented with no need for new hardware, and without needing to go to a higher frequency, which in turn would limit the usable range of the SideScan sonar

27 Xi5 Trolling motor autopilot support Simrad now integrates with the MotorGuide Xi5 and Xi3 trolling motor The Simrad MFD can automatically control the Xi5 /Xi3 trolling motor to: Maintain a s et heading Maintain the vessel's position Navigate to the curs or pos ition, to a waypoint, or along a route Follow pre-defined turn patterns Control the s peed of the trolling motor 27

31 Device Registration Product regis tration will allow more efficient product s upport as well as keeping up to date with the lates t s oftware. Product regis tration can be via the MFD connected to the internet with a GoFree account or via a smartphone with internet acces s. Note: The preferred method is by the MFD with a GoFree account as this will register all connected products. 31

38 Improvements Navionics Dock-to-Dock and C-MAP EasyRouting are made available for users in the USA. Geo-fencing of this feature is removed in this version. Available on C-MAP Insight Pro, MAX-N and MAX-N+. Also available on Navionics Nav+ and Platinum+, Navionics must have an Active subscription Calibrations and offsets can now be done from the calibration option in the Network Settings dialog. 38

39 Improvements C-MAP depth shading: New default palette. There is a new choice in the depth shading palettes for depth shading. Navigation will be the new default palette Chart options>view>depth palette>navigation. 39

40 Improvements Enhancements - Improvements have been made to the Sonar algorithms to improve target detection when using low frequency. These improvements will take effect in depths greater than 100m (300ft) metres. These enhancements apply to high performance sonar modules and multifunction displays. Note: please ensure all sonar modules are updated with version 59.1.xx 40

41 Bug Fixes MAG VAR issue corrected on Radar PPI: Compass Rose on radar PPI were out by the amount of local magnetic variation AIS: VDO / VDM sentences were not sent correctly over WiFi to external Apps in the previous version. A correction has been made to rectify this. An issue with Navionics Sonar chart live causing some units to run slow has been rectified Correction to Chinese translation for engine data Longer address are allowed when creating a service report 41

42 Known Issues StuctureScan pallet icon no.1 (top of list) is blue, but will display as a turquoise pallet when pressed. A fix for this will be coming later in the year. C-Map depth shading palette Traditional is the same as Navigation. A fix for this will be in the next release later in the year 42
