2 Enjoying Color Mix and match your ideas The especial PinterCaipo FancyTOPS drawing frame, controlled by a powerful microprocessor, can create very prestigious and exclusive fancy yarns because it produces slivers that contain sequences and combinations with up to eight slivers in different colors, weights and or material following any program created by the user. It is the perfect companion for fancy color spinning, boosting the designing possibilities of yarn creators looking for exclusive patterns. Each extra sliver is controlled by its independent insertion group, driven by a servomotor and synchronized with the rest of the system through PinterCaipo electronics. Following the design, it will deliver the exact quantity (acceleration) and length (time) of each sliver, over the normal base sliver, to match the desired pattern in the final product. 2

3 Possibilities FancyTOPS allows innovation with no limits with the controlled mix of fibres and colors in draw frame s slivers, obtaining products such as: Fancy slivers of constant or variable weight and thickness. Slivers made of multiple colors. Final yarn can be used as a printed yarn. Slivers made of multiple raw materials. Final yarn can be used for obtaining special effects trough a differential dying. Possibility of injecting slivers with shorter fibre length than the base one, to get slubs shorter than fibre length in the final yarn. Applications Resulting sliver may be used as normal (base) or injected fibre on a PinterCaipo Injected systems or Mosaic Yarn on the ring frame, resulting on unmatched creation possibilities and exclusive products to lead fancy market. FancyTOPS is available for short or long staple spinning, to cover a wide range of applications: knitwear (circular, flat), shawls, carpets, furnishing, among others. 3

4 FancyTOPS on duty Built to perform The microprocessor on the machine panel controls the brushless motors that are mounted on the insertion groups (all the insertion groups are independent and synchronized with each other). Group speed is varied in order to dose both the quantity of material to insert for each group and also the length of the effect following any set program. The material is then deposited onto a sliver that is the basis of the fancy sliver to be created. A limitless range of fancy yarns can therefore be produced, varying the percentage and length of the color insertions continuously or in stretches as desired, keeping the slivers either constant or not constant. The production process is fully controlled by the microprocessor, which controls all the production parameters and interfaces with PinterCaipo FancyTOPS EVALUATION SOFTWARE, which is supplied along with the machine. Pieces of short fibre slivers can be inserted into basic slivers of wool or other worsted material to obtain slubs and short colored inserts in the final yarn; these slubs will be in any case lower than the base fibre length. The slivers designed and produced with FancyTOPS can be spun directly on ring frames or hollow spindle machines to obtain an exclusive product with a very wide range of applications that includes all the main sectors such as yarn, knitwear, furnishings, women s clothing, rugs, among others. 4

Creation is simple: the new FancyTOPS Evaluation Software allows to program and get an accurate simulation of final result before production: Makes the creation of any program easy and intuitive. Graphically simulates the sliver, yarn and knit. Calculates the requirements of each insertion sliver and the base sliver. Optimizes the production speed according to the program and weight of the used slivers. Calculates the output head spinning. Transfers programs using network connection between FancyTOPS and PC containing FancyTOPS EVALUATION, or standard USB memory. 5
