1 Request for Proposals Reference: ERDFIAI A Caring First Ltd, is a limited liability company providing healthcare services. The company is currently commissioning a private new-build hospital complete with an advanced radiology department. A 128 slice spiral CT scanner will be part of this radiology suite offering new, innovative radiology techniques to the patient. Caring First Limited is a private limited liability company registered in Malta which has sought and been granted assistance under the ERDF Innovation Actions Grants Scheme (Innovation) Call 4 for the purchase of a 128-Slice CT Scanner. This machine should include the characteristics listed in Annex II: Name of Equipment: Description of Equipment: 128-Slice CT Scanner 64 row, 128 slice spiral CT scanning system. The price quoted, should be excluding VAT. VAT (if applicable) should be quoted separately. Training, Maintenance and Insurance costs shall not be quoted with the machine price, but on a separate quote. The bid shall remain valid for a period of 4 months from closing date of Request for Proposals. Presentation of Bids Bidders must satisfy the following conditions: a. The bidder shall, together with any other documentation submitted with his offer, submit the forms attached to this document as Annexes I and II. Annexes I and II, which form part of this Request for Proposals, should be filled in by the Supplier and attached as the first and second pages of the proposal/s submitted. b. All offers must be submitted in one original, clearly marked original, and one identical copy (including all documentation as in the original) signed in the same way as the original and clearly marked copy. c. Both the original and the copy are to be separately sealed and placed in another sealed envelope/package so that the bid can be identified as one submission.

The CT must include an integrated solution for a simplified bolus injector coupling due to synchronized scanning and contrast injection. This CT feature must facilitate contrast enhanced clinical workflow by synchronizing CT scan and contrast media injection using a single button control. Synchronised CT scan and contrast media injection interface and Bolus tracking software This in order to speed up clinical workflow and allow efficient and confident monitoring of patients during contrast media injection and scan start, even if only one technician is present. The solution should be based on the newly developed international standard for the communication between CT and injector.

The system should provide an integral interface connection to simultaneously trigger the contrast media injector and scan start. Synchronised injector dual head type The injector System must have a pedestal head mount and interface to start the injection from the CT- Console or the CT foot switch. Alternatively the scan start from the injector-console should be possible. The injector should have a dual syringe injection system for CT contrast exams, including Cardiac CT and Coronary CTA. The system has to provide for work list on the modality, backup manual data entry, sending to PACS configurable function for transmission.
