4 THE RANGES REAL CABLE AVS Range The AVS products benefit for a Rea Cabe research on the transmission of signas, for the purpose of obtaining the best performance and giving the best vaue for money. For this, designing cabes respects a the audio or video technica criteria (impedance, shieding, etc.) necessary for a forms of interconnection. Moreover, Rea Cabe's AVS patent obtains high quaity mouded pugs, fitted with a specia anti-disconnection system with optimised shieding a the way to the contacts. The MASTER products benefit from a the speciaities of the Innovation range, and add characteristics without compromise, to make the reproduction subime. Thus, the use of materias (copper or siver) made according to the OCC procedure, gives an purity and structure that aow inks without oss, and thus imparts an extreme fideity to your sound or visua sources. To this is added the use of other materias ike Tefon or Rhodium. The atter is appreciated for its extreme hardness and durabiity for contacts. Using strands of different sections within the cabe, the time needed for propagating high, medium and ow frequencies is constant. 12 AUDIO SPEAKER CABLE INNOVATION - Bi-Wiring The bi-wiring cabing is achieved by 2 pairs of conductors. Both positive of cabes are connected together on the positive output of the ampifier, same for negative. On the speaker side, the positive and negative dedicated to the ow frequencies are connected to the bass input (+/-) of the speaker and the conductor s pair dedicated to high frequencies is connected to the Mid/trebe input (+/-) of the speaker. The goa of this kind of cabing is to separate the way of bass frequencies with respect to the other. Low frequencies are the most power consuming and thanks to the bi-wiring, the important current generated by the bass can not affect the other frequencies going through separated conductors. The sound is then cearer and more airy. For an easy ocating, our Bi-wiring cabes are coor-coded. In fact, the different groups of strands are a insuated from each other, aowing extra precision in the distribution of signa frequencies in conductors. Thus, each frequency group can find a dedicated channe without affecting the others. So as to achieve perfect transparency and aow strong ow frequency currents to pass through with the minimum of oss, the bass dedicated channe is in OCC copper. Likewise, the extreme trebbe channe contains siver for inear output in high frequencies in new audio formats (DVD-audio and SACD). The different insuated channes are dimensioned so that they a have the same impedance, with their strands being a different. 16 HDMI CABLE FULL HD THE HIGH DEFINITION STANDARDS CERTIFICATION : A the HDMI Rea Cabe products are HDMI certified by the HDMI Authorized Test Center and thus ensure the best working safety and compatibiity, especiay for big ength cabes and for the switch/dispatch box. This is identified on the product (or its packing) by the presence of the officia HDMI ogo. HDMI Cabe The scart pug wi become in a very few time obsoete. It wi be repaced by the HDMI (High Definition Mutimedia Interface). This new pug is for video and audio, in the same way as its ancestor, but with a noticeabe difference : the signas are digita. Image and sound are transmitted in the best quaity. Aso, so as not to ose the benefit of this ink, be carefu about the cabe quaity over ong distances, on pain of bad images and sound. A the Rea Cabe HDMI cabes are HDCP (content protection management) and CEC ( Consumer Eectronic Contro = communication between equipments) compiant. HDMI connector is avaiabe in mini format (type C) for mobie appication such as HD camcorder. DVI-D Singe Link Cabe When the video socket of a computer or DVD payer is in DVI format, you can get a digita video signa out of it. When the definition does not go beyond 1080i (1920x1080 interaced), a DVI-D Singe Link cabe is then enough for inking a HDTV source to a digita diffuser and thus get a perfecty defined and precise image. The cabe quaity is the determining factor over ong distances, on pain of seeing the image messed up. DVI-D Dua Link Cabe Compared with a DVI-D Singe Link cabe, the Dua Link doubes the passing band. This is not to say that it is better than the Singe Link, but that it is simpy abe to transit more digita data (up to 2048x1536 progressive 75 Hz). The Dua Link cabe is recommended for data appications and very high definition. The cabe quaity is the determining factor over ong distances, on pain of seeing the image messed up. HDMI/DVI Cabe As the HDMI ink uses the operating principe of the DVI ink, there is a video retro-compatibiity between the two standards. Aso, a DVD payer with an HDMI output can, for exampe, suppy a pasma screen with a DVI-D input, provided that the DVI connection is HDCP (High-bandwith, Digita Copy Protection). It is sometimes necessary to use a DVI cabe on one side and a HDMI on the other to ink the video appiances to each other. HDCP compatibe. DVI-I Dua Link Cabe Compared with a DVI-D Dua Link cabe, the DVI-I Dua Link adds a DB15 type anaogue ink. Beware. This is not to say that the DVI-I Dua Link is the best DVI cabe, for you have to avoid ong distances to transport both digita and anaogue video at the same time. It shoud be used for very specific and rare appications where digita and anaogica signas have to trave together. DB15 Cabe The connection of a computer to a monitor, a video projector or a pasma screen is generay by DB15 cabe. An anaogue video signa in RVB goes through it in two separate syncro (RVBHV).
