We can customize this procedure based on your needs and preferences. Please indicate how you would like us to class multiple-volume sets and series. We can customize this procedure based on your needs and preferences. Please indicate how you would like us to class items that are bound together. For your project, we can map classmarks into item or holdings fields. Please indicate your preference. Leave my classification in the MARC 050 field. Map my classification another MARC field (please specify): Map my classification to item/holdings fields as follows: L. RECORD DISTRIBUTION Will the reclassified records be uploaded to a bibliographic utility, such as OCLC WorldCat or a consortium database? Yes (please specify): No [ 5 ]

6 M. RECORD MATCHING CRITERIA Before manually assigning LC call numbers, we will search the agreed-upon databases to find matching records from which to pull existing call numbers. Our standard practice is to first match a numeric field, such as ISBN or LCCN, then verify the record with a title match. If no number match is found, we use a title phrase search, matching the record against the 245 field, subfields a, b, n, and p. Matches are verified by checking information in the 1xx field. Please indicate which match verification procedure you would like us to follow. Note that specifying your own match verification criteria will affect the match rate and may change your pricing. Use Backstage s standard match verification criteria. Do not use Backstage s match verification criteria. Instead, use the following fields for match verification: Field 010, subfield a (LC number) Field 020, subfield a (ISBN) Field 022, subfield a (ISSN) Field 1xx, subfield a (Author) Field 245, subfield a, b (Title, subtitle) Field 245, subfield n, p (Part/section of a work) Leader, field 245, subfield h (AV type) Field 250, subfield a (Edition) Field 260, subfield b (Publisher) Field 260, subfield c (Date of publication) Other [ 6 ]
