The tense, or form, of a verb tells when the action happened. To show the future tense of "go," add "will," as in "he will go." persuade I wanted you to persuade him to come to the meeting, not dissuade him from coming. To persuade someone is to try and get them to change their mind. The purpose of the essay was to try and persuade the reader to see the issue from the author's point of view. browse When you browse, you look through something in a casual way; you don't read every word. There are five main parts of a plot: exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution.
