Hanson Ch;d Fxccutive OHicc: April 4, 2019 Elizabeth Murray, Managing Director War Memorial Performing Arts Center 401 Van Ness Avenue San Francisco, CA Dear Beth, n the fall of 2017, the Symphony first presented conceptual. plans for the "mmersive Lobby Experience", featuring the installation of digital screens throughout the lobbies of Davies Symphony Hall, as well as interactive kiosks providing patrons with context and content related to the Symphony and the music being performed. After much research and cost analysis, the project as presented was determined to not be financially feasible. However, the Symphony will present a reimagined project to the Building Committee and Board of Trustees next month. The project wili include lobby column lighting, projections onto a kinetic installation over the grand staircase, and portable information displays placed throughout the lobbies. The proposal will include a request to fund the project s;zr~. through the facility enhancement fee. We look forward to reviewing the plans with the board of trustees next month.
