We explore ideas of creative freedom in a wide-ranging programme of music, theatre, talks and film and so much more. We are particularly excited to welcome the musical talents of O Duo, The Tallis Scholars and award-winning folk group RURA. We also have a superb line-up of speakers, including Peter Tatchell, Philip Hoare, Henry Hemmings and Diane Atkinson. An experienced broadcaster, curator and filmmaker, he is Professor of Creative Writing at the University of Southampton, and curator of the Moby-Dick Big Read. Philip is obsessed with the sea. She has curated a major exhibition on the suffragettes at the Museum of London. Director, Peter Phillips, has worked with the ensemble to create a sound which best serves the Renaissance repertoire. It is for this purity and clarity of sound that The Tallis Scholars have become so widely renowned. The evening will include pieces by Byrd, Gibbons, Tavener and Britten.
