The productions in our 2018/19 Season are full of characters that ReIMAGINE their lives: like inspiring young Matilda Wormwood who decides, Nobody but me is going to change my story. The productions are also opportunities for us to ReIMAGINE stories we are familiar with and see them through a new lens: a WWI story told from the perspective of a young Métis soldier, or a Jane Austen story told from the eyes of the forgotten middle sister of the Bennet family. This season is also a chance to ReIMAGINE how we experience theatre: for instance, two plays by the same playwright, happening in two different theatres at the exact same time featuring the exact same cast running back and forth between the shows; or a magical re-envisioning of a Shakespearean classic performed by Deaf and hearing actors together.
