These are shown in a matrix detailed in the manufacturer's documents, they are also shown in the manufacturer's instruction leaflets for the end user. These codes are unique to each and every cable gland and stopper box, and identify the various design options applicable to each cable gland family and stopper box range A full description of the A8"", AC***, ARC**, D8X.", D8XC."*, 8X** and XC***, Cable Gland Ranges can be found in the Annexe to this Certificate. Conditions of manufacture The Manufacturer shall comply with the following: 1. These products shall only be marked with the references that appear in this lssue of the certif cate and any subsequent revisions. CONDITION O CRTIIGATION: Y as shown below: 1 2 ó These ranges of cable glands are certified w th one specific size of LP sealing ring per gland size as supplied. The A8**, A8C***, ARG**, D8f*, DXC***, 8X** and XC*** ranges of cable glands shall not be used in enclosures where the temperature, at the point of mounting, is outside the range of -60'C to +180"C. The A8**, A8C***, ARC**, D8x**, DXC***, 8X** and XC*** range of cable glands shall only be used for fixed installations, in addition, the cables must be effectively clamped to prevent pulling or twisting. The interface between the male thread of the products and their associated enclosure cannot be defined. Therefore, it is the user's responsibility to ensure that the appropriate ngress protection level is maintained at these interfaces. The A8**, A8C***, ARC**, D8X**, DXC***, 8X** and XC*** ranges of cable glands, when installed in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and with an appropriate enclosure on which they are fixed, are capable of providing an ingress protection of lp66 and lp68 (50 metres 7 days). Where glands without sealing rings are installed in protection by enclosure (x t) equipment for use in explosive dust atmospheres, they may only be fìtted into enclosures offering a minimum of 5 full threads, in accordance with IC :2008 clause

5 Annexe to: Applicantl lectrical Apparatus: ICx IR X Issue 3 A8r<x, ACx*x, ARCxx, DXxx, DXCxxx, Xxx and XCxxx Cable Gland Ranges These cable glands are intended for use with flat profile cables. The Axx may be used with any cable type where sealing and retention is required by gripping the outer sheath (this includes armoured/screened/braided cables, the armour/screen/braid being clamped inside the terminating equipment). The D8Xxx and 8Xxx have an additional clamp to grip copper braid and woven steel wire armour. The D8Xxx seals and grips the inner sheath and the X*x seals and grips the inner and outer sheaths. Construction materials are brass, mild steel or stainless steel. In all cases, the seal materials are silicone. Glands are available in the size range 20, 20R and 20 with an M20 x 1.5 and M25 X 1.5 metric entry thread. Alternative equivalent size entry thread forms are available. The glands have an ingress protection rating of IP66 and IP68 (50 metres 7 days). The ACx*x model series variant to the A8x* series additionally provides, via an alternative cap component, male or female connection to solid rigid conduit or flexible metallic conduit The ARCxx model series variant to the Axx series additionally provides, via an alternative compression bush component, male connection to galvanised steel or stainless steel, unsheathed or protective sheathed, flexible metallic conduit. The D8XCx*x model series variant to the DXxx series additionally provide via an alternative cap component/ male or female connection to solid rigid conduit or flexible metallic conduit.
