4 1.0 The HID Logo The HID logotype represents the HID brand and company in its most simple form. As such, the HID logo may only be used on HID partners web sites as a link to the HID web site. All other usage is reserved for HID marketing. For most web site applications, a.gif or.jpeg file format of the HID logo can be used. For any other usage of the HID logo, please contact HID marketing. The digital files of the HID logo can be obtained from the HID Sales & Marketing Toolkit CD or by contacting HID Marketing. The Logo

5 1.1 Logo Size and Clear Zone A clear zone or control field must always surround the freestanding HID logo. No text or graphics should intrude this field. The clear zone around the logo must be at least the height of an uppercase letter of HID (see ) in any used size of the logo. When the logo is reproduced in large formats for signs and exhibits, the clear zone may be reduced to a minimum of ½ Preferred Size 45 mm 128 pixels Minimum Size 25 mm 71 pixels 2

6 1.2 Logo Variations The logo may be printed as 1-color positive, as shown to the left. Use full values of the color, as opposed to screens of the color. The logo may be printed as 1-color negative, as shown to the left. Use full values of the color, and background (white) of paper, as opposed to screens of the color.

7 1.3 Logo Do s / Don t s DO: Always align brick lockup on the horizontal or vertical axis. DON T: Align brick lockup on a diagonal bias. DON T: Never skew logo, or change it s proportions. DON T: Never squeeze logo, or change it s proportions. DON T: Never expand logo, or change it s proportions. DON T: Add text or other elements to the logo. 4

8 1.4 Logo Color The HID Global color system is built around the base identity color (PMS 287), there is a range of neutral colors to be used as accents to convey a credible, corporate look, and to enhance the brand s strong, crisp and technical qualities. Please adhere to the color specifications on the following page when reproducing the HID logo. Color

11 2.0 Product Brand Logos Our product brand logos help differentiate our product lines and enable co-op marketing opportunities with our partners. High recall of, and brand equity in the HID logo extends to our product brand logos and gives them value and credibility. Only authorized partners and resellers are allowed to use the product brand logos and must adhere to the following guidelines: Do not use the HID logo or product brand logos in any way that might suggest that HID endorses your product, company, or website. The HID logo and product brand logos can be used only in the approved versions shown here. Always use the electronic artwork provided. Do not alter it in any way. Do not animate, rotate, or otherwise distort any of the designs. The HID logo and product brand logos should be configured as active links back to HID s corporate web site at Do not link them to other pages on your web site or to third-party web sites. 8

14 2.1 Product Brand Logos Clear Zone HID Prox The clear zone around the HID Prox logo must be at least the space of ½ the overall size of the logo (see ) in any used size of the logo. Indala Prox The clear zone around the Indala Prox logo must be at least the height of the letter I in INDALA (see ) in any used size of the logo. iclass The clear zone around the iclass logo must be at least the height of ½ the overall size of the logo (see ) in any used size of the logo. Vert The clear zone around the Vert logo must be at least the space of ½ the height of the logo (see ) in any used size of the logo. Asure ID The clear zone around the Asure ID logo must be at least the height of the letter A in ASURE (see ) in any used size of the logo.

15 2.1 Product Brand Logos Clear Zone Crescendo The clear zone around the Crescendo logo must be at least the height of the letter C in CRESCENDO (see ) in any used size of the logo. Edge The clear zone around the Edge logo must be at least the height of ½ the overall size of the logo (see ) in any used size of the logo. Opin The clear zone around the Opin logo must be at least the height of ½ the overall size of the logo (see ) in any used size of the logo. HID Identity The clear zone around the HID Identity logo must be at least the height of the letter D in IDENTITY (see ) in any used size of the logo. 12

18 3.0 HID Connect Logo HID Connect is the brand name of HID s development partner program. It establishes a multi-level program for partners to develop and market products that are HID technology enabled. HID Connect

19 3.1 HID Connect Logo Specifications HID Connect Can be used to represent HID Connect embedded product line and partner program. Logo Clear Space The clear zone around the HID Connect logo must be at least the space of ½ the height of the logo (see ) in any used size of the logo. 1 Registered Member HID Connect Partners The HID Connect partner logos are for the use of authorized HID development partners. 2 3 Partner Logo Minimum Size The HID Connect logo cannot be reproduced any smaller than 30 mm wide. HID generally allows authorized partners to use HID trademarks as adwords for internet search engines, but written, prior authorization is required. 21 4.1 Text Style Do s / Don t s DO: Always typeset HID in all caps and Global with just a capital G: HID Global is the premier manufacturer of contactless access control cards and readers for the security industry and has shipped over 250 million credentials to customers worldwide. DON T: Never make HID or HID Global a different or stylized (bold, italic, etc.) font than is in the copy text: Customers know they can count on HID to deliver high quality products. DO Always write trademarked names with the correct capitalization: iclass offers the ease of proximity technology, along with the power of smart cards. DON T: Never stylize HID brand names in copy text: For new installations, iclass cards and readers are the smart choice. DO: Always correctly stylize and capitalize HID brand names in page titles: RP40 multiclass Reader DO: Always add the appropriate superscripted trademark symbol to the first or most prominent instance of the brand name on each page it is used: Proximity readers such as the MiniProx and ProxPro and ProxPoint Plus are top sellers worldwide. 18

22 5.0 Legal By using an HID Global trademark you are acknowledging that HID is the sole owner of the trademark and promising that you will not interfere with HID s rights in the trademark, including challenging HID s use, registration of, or application to register such trademark, alone or in combination with other words, anywhere in the world, and that you will not harm, misuse, or bring into disrepute any HID trademark. You may refer to HID products and services by their associated HID trademarks and service marks, so long as such references are truthful, fair, and not misleading, and comply with these Guidelines.The goodwill derived from using any part of an HID trademark exclusively inures to the benefit of and belongs to HID. You may not use an identical or virtually identical HID trademark as a second level website domain name; for example edgereader.com, or hid-prox.com. Except for the limited right to use as expressly permitted under these Guidelines, no other rights of any kind are granted hereunder, by implication or otherwise. These Guidelines may be modified by HID from time to time in HID s sole discretion. Legal

23 5.1 Legal Do s / Don t s Customer & Partner Marketing Materials You may use information on HID products and services (such as data sheets, knowledge base articles, and similar materials) purposely made available to you by , our web site, CD s, etc., provided that you: DO: Always include attribution to HID for all trademarks names and/or logos used in your marketing piece due to uncertainty of the law regarding fair or nominative use. In conjunction with commercial promotion of HID s products, images are provided for free use by HID s customers, resellers, consultants, users of HID products and industry press.
