Digitalisation: IG Global defines digitalisation as the Integration of digital technologies into everyday life by the digitization of everything that can be digitized.. The literal meaning of digitalization gives an apparent idea of development [of a] technology dependent world. 2. Digitisation: Digitisation according to I-scoop.eu on an article online is creating a digital (bits and bytes) version of analog/physical things such as paper documents,

2 microfils images, photographs, sounds and more. But also points out that Digitizing doesn t mean replacing the original document, image, sound etc. So it seems that digitisation is the act of transforming or converting analog/physical things into bits and bytes, that is to say the smallest unit of data in a computer... Although computers usually provide instructions that can test and manipulate bits, they generally are designed to store data and execute instructions in bit multiples called bytes What is digitalisation? When we digitise something, we transform or convert that thing into bits and bytes. We are not destroying it, just making a digital copy of the thing. So let us assume that we have digitised an image; now we have our image, that is to say, we now have an image in two formats (1) physical photo paper format copy of the real image and (2) digital bits/bytes format copy of the photo paper (not of the real image). Now we have our digitised image, have we integrated that digitised image into our lives and therefore do we now have the act of digitalisation? After all, we are looking at the digitised image of the copy of the image showing on the photo paper. Is it the act of looking at the digitized image the act of digitalisation? What if we do not look at the digitised image? Is it still integrated into our world through digitalisation? Now that we have our digitised image, are we going to show this image of bits/bytes to other computers and therefore other people around the world? Is the act of down / up loading, storing and sending our digital image, the act of digitalisation? Is there a difference between interacting though digital images and creating digital images? If so where do the acts of digitisation and digitalisation begin and end? Are digitisation and digitalisation the same act? What if we do nothing with the digital image? If we do nothing with the digital image, are we just digitising that image but not effecting the act of digitalisation? If it is only for our own personal satisfaction, are we doing the act of digitisation or digitalisation? What if we send the digital image from our computer into another computer, but the person on the other computer, never sees the image for a number of reasons, are we still digitising or effecting the act of digitalisation of the image? Are there obstacles that would limit the human ability to process digital data sharing and therefore the act of digitisation and/or digitalisation will not happen? 4. Digital State? If one simply accepts the existence of the words digitisation and digitalisation, then one acts like a follower similar to those following the gourd and then the shoe of Brian in the film The Life of Brian. We have to realise that new concepts need definitions that have been universally considered and accepted under the legal framework. The American philosopher Robert Nozick ( ) 2 asked a very important question which was that if we could imagine that the state did not exist then would we have the need to invent the state? Our question is could we trust a world without a state? In a world without a state, could we trust the moral, ethical and legal perception of a digital oracle? Technological positivists want us to believe that technology will cure all our diseases and failings or shortcomings. They talk about decentralisation as the future of the world, but people need each other. We all need tools and clothing and a man who makes shoes cannot also make pots and cutlery and Anarchy, State, and Utopia Robert Nozick.

3 clothing at the same time. We need to live in close social groups because our different abilities work better when we are close to each other. 5. What is a decentralised world going to bring? Can we trust 7.6 billion of moral, ethical and legal personal views of what is right, wrong and legal? It is said that in God we trust have we being pushed to say in technology we trust? Technocrats and their followers see a world where technology is the ruler, a world where humans live happily ever after in harmony with no wars or diseases. A world where only muses, wine and honey is to be found. It is a utopian hope and nice as it sounds, it is unrealistic. Utopia is an inspiration, a dream, a point of reference. No matter where humans go, with us, the good and the bad will follow. The problem is that the dark side of humans has the same capacity to proliferate as the good and if it is digitised (or digitalised) that capacity will proliferate even faster and may eventually become unstoppable if we do not give the Fourth Revolution proper consideration as a matter of urgency. We must try to stop following Brian the Digital Messiah and begin to ask the questions of what technology really is and where it is taking us. Cybercrime is costing billions already. Smart contracts cannot replace the need for humans to negotiate. Technology is not the epistemological instrument that will make us see the universe for everything that it is. After all, we may only see the universe according to our own limitations and accepting technology without understanding its implications is a dangerous route to follow. Qué es Digitalización? 1. Aunque las computadoras usualmente proporcionan instrucciones que pueden probar y manipular bits, generalmente están diseñadas para almacenar datos y ejecutar instrucciones en múltiplos de bits llamados bytes

4 3. Qué es la digitalización? Cuando digitamos algo, transformamos o convertimos esa cosa en bits y bytes. No lo estamos destruyendo, solo estamos haciendo una copia digital de la cosa. Entonces asumamos que hemos digitado una imagen; ahora tenemos nuestra imagen, es decir, ahora tenemos una imagen en dos formatos (1) copia fotográfica en formato de papel fotográfico, de la imagen real y (2) copia en formato digital en bits / bytes del papel fotográfico que muestra una imagen (la imagen digital es la imagen que aparece en el papel y no la imagen del mundo real). Los tecnócratas y sus seguidores ven un mundo donde la tecnología es el gobernante, un mundo donde los humanos viven felices para siempre en armonía sin guerras ni enfermedades. Un mundo donde solo se encuentran musas, vino y miel. Es una esperanza utópica y agradable como suena, no es realista. La utopía es una inspiración, un sueño, un punto de referencia. No importa a donde vayan los humanos, con nosotros, lo bueno y lo malo seguirán. El problema es que el lado oscuro de los humanos, tiene la misma capacidad de proliferar que lo bueno y, si se digitase (o digitalizase), teniendo una capacidad más rápida de reproducirse, podría llegar a ser imparable, si no damos la consideración adecuada a la Cuarta Revolución como una cuestión de urgencia. Debemos tratar de dejar de seguir a "Brian el Mesías Digital" y comenzar a hacer preguntas sobre qué es realmente la tecnología y hacia dónde nos está llevando. La ciberdelincuencia ya está costando billones. Los contratos inteligentes no pueden reemplazar la necesidad de los humanos para negociar.
