Jedu Pokharel/BOD Sanjay Thapa NRN USA s AGM financial report- Treasurer AOB First Session Roll Call: Roll Called Previous Meeting Minute: Taken as read Presidents Welcome Note: President's Welcome Note: The president welcomed all the attendees to the meeting. Moreover, the president described why the meeting was called to the task force chairs. While explaining the aim of the meeting, the president said, "We have done many things in our one-and-a-half-year period of this term. Some of the tasks the NCC did directly, and some they did with cooperation and coordination with task forces. We want to know your progress and plans, and we want to know if you have any favor needed from the NCC in order to complete any task. On top of that, we want to build the system between the NCC executive board and the task force. Because of that, we called this meeting." After ending his welcome note, the president gave the authority to the general secretary to run the meeting. Progress reports from various committees except for chairs who are board officials: The committee/task force chairs presented their progress reports and plans verbally. The presenters were Mr. Ang Jangbo Sherpa (chair, trade, and tourism), Bharat Aryal (chair, promoting Nepali products in the USA), Pashupati Pande (chair, knowledge, skill, and innovation), and Shivaraj Paudel (chair, bylaws amendment). Even though the agenda was set up for the chairs from beyond the

4 executive board, due to the limited attendance of task force chairs, on the authority of the president's direction, chairs representing the executive board were also allowed to present their reports. First Session Adjournment: The president adjourned the first session with his thanks note and gave authority to the general secretary to open the second session. Note: At the end of the meeting, the general secretary requested to all of the presenters from beyond the board to forward their written progress report to the secretariat within 48 hours of the meeting. However, the secretariat did not receive them. Second session: 1st Constitution Assembly and Global Knowledge Convention's Report President: As a leader of the NCC USA team of 1st Constitution Assembly and Global Knowledge Convention held in Nepal, the President presented the report. Giving the story, President stated that NRNA NCC USA played a significant and active role at both sessions of the convention. The board thanked the entire participants from the USA. CNC Nepal Visit Report along with financial expenses- VP. Jedu Pokharel/BOD Sanjay Thapa: General Secretary requested the VP. Jedu Pokharel to present The CNC Nepal Visit report; due to an unforeseen issue, he could not present it, and General Secretary then asked BOD, Mr. Sanjay Thapa, to submit it. Mr. Sanjay Thapa filed the report; the board expressed proudly of their work in this regard and unanimously passed the report (the report including expenditures). The board thanked Mr. Sudip Pant (President, NEAJA), Mr. Bhuwaneshwor Adhikari (General Secretary, Ridgewood Nepali Society, NY), and Mr. Rabin Bajracharya (NRN) for being involved in the CNC Nepal Visit; nevertheless, they were not officially deployed. (Please see the report attached herewith at Annex I) NRN USA's AGM Financial Report Treasurer: Note: NRNA NCC USA's 8th AGM-2017, held in San Francisco, the financial statement is due to pass yet. The financial report was discussed on 21 July at the 13th Board Meeting and was found unacceptable due to a lack of proper documentation such as receipts, use of purpose, and the name of recipients, among others. The 13th Board Meeting was formed a sevenmember committee under the Treasurer, Dr. Prakash Aryal's, to resolve this issue, and it authorized them right to approve it. However, the Board has not heard from the committee yet. Therefore, this topic has come again to the fore. The general secretary asked the treasurer to present the financial report. Treasurer, Dr. Prakash Aryal then authorized the Vice President/8th AGM Financial Report Committee

5 Member, Mr. Ram Kumar Subedi, to present it. Mr. Ram Kumar Subedi, Vice President/8th AGM Financial Report Committee member, reported to the board that the financial report had not been completed yet. He stated, "we found significantly irregular things were happened while expending in the 8th AGM, we have tried to reach personals who they involved to the transaction but could not established the communication. They are not helping us to solve the issue at all, and he requested the Board to grand them [8th AGM Financial Report Committee] the few more days to solve it." On top of that, he assured the board that they (the 8th AGM Financial Report Committee) would publish the report in black and white soon. The Board approved his request to grant the additional days, and the President concluded the agenda. The President gave the deadline of the 15th of November to submit the report, and directed them (the 8th AGM Financial Report Committee) to mention in the report the names of those involved in the financial irregularities. Moreover, the President also mentioned that, as the board had already given approval to the 8th AGM Financial Report Committee, the board does not need to approve it again. AOB Doing Business As (DBA) registration of NY Chapter: The President informed the board that NRNA NCC, USA, New York Chapter has been registered with the local authority as NRNA NCC USA's DBA organization under section 1304 of non-forprofit corporation law. He added that this is good news, and we should thank the NY Chapter for it. The Board thanked the NY Chapter, and directed the General Secretary to circulate a letter directing all Chapters to file for DBA registration in their respective local authorities, the same as the NY Chapter.
