21 Author's Perspective and Tone refers to a particular point of view. This isn't just first-persona or (all knowing) point of view but also writer's point of view. What does the writer have to say? Why? What is the purpose behind writing these lines What is Williams trying to say and why? Author's perspective also includes Passages or details in the text reveal the purpose and perspective.
