Predznanstveni razvoj: elementarne predstave o duševnosti; psihološka pojmovanja pomembnih kultur in civilizacij; razvoj filozofske psihologije; antika: Hipokrat, Platon, Aristotel, Teofrast; helenizem in rimsko obdobje; krščanska filozofska psihologija; novoveška in moderna filozofska psihologija. Oblikovanje psihološke znanosti: napredek znanosti; psihološki prispevki naravoslovja, medicine, pedagogike in sociologije; začetki eksperimentalne psihologije; psihofizika - Weber, Fechner; Ebbinghaus; objektivna psihologija. Prve usmeritve: očetje psihologije - Wundt, James, Pavlov, Freud; strukturalizem - Wundt, Titchener; Würzburška šola; funkcionalizem - James, Hall, Čikaška šola. Usmeritve druge in tretje generacije: Psihoanaliza - Freud, Adler, Jung; neopsihoanaliza; Gestalt psihologija - Wertheimer, Köhler, Koffka, Lewin; behaviorizem - Thorndike, Watson, Hull, Tolman, Skinner, Guthrie; neobehaviorizem; sociobehaviorizem; humanistična psihologija - Maslow, Rogers; Frankl; kognitivna psihologija; kognitivni obrat v psihologiji; kognitivna znanost. Razvoj aplikativne in diferencialne psihologije. Sodobni trendi: vedenjsko-socialno-kognitivna paradigma, bioevolucijska paradigma, pozitivna psihologija. Content (Syllabus outline): Introduction: the logics of the historical approach; history and models of science and their psychological application. Prescientific developmen: elementary concepts of the psyche (mind, spirit); psychological conceptions in major cultures and civilizations; philosophical psychology in the antique (Hippocrates, Plato, Aristotle, Teophrast); helenism and roman period; christian psychology; psychology in philosophy after 16 century and modern philosophical psychology. Becoming and shaping of the psychological science: scientific progress, contributions of natural sciences, medicine, educational science and sociology; beginnings of the experimental psychology; psychophysics - Weber, Fechner; Ebbinghaus;; objective psychology. First orientations in psycholoogy: fathers of psychology- Wundt, James, Pavlov, Freud; structuralism - Wundt, Titchener; Würzburg school; functionalism - James, Hall, Chicago school. History of psychology in Slovenia: first authors, psychological contributions in the 19 century, philosophical psychology, scientific psychology; contributions of Rostohar, Trstenjak; recent development. CA: Wadsworth Publishing. Cilji in kompetence: Cilji: Posredovanje najpomembnejših temeljnih informacij o zgodovinskih izvorih, predstopnjah, nastajanju in razvoju psihologije. Po končanem programu dobi študent vpogled v to, kako so se razvijala psihološka spoznanja v preteklosti. Študent tudi pridobi vpogled v najpomembnejše značilnosti predznanstvenega in znanstvenega razvoja proučevanj duševnosti, obnašanja in osebnosti. Kompetence: Študent je zmožen razumeti, presojati in kritično reflektirati zgodovinsko perspektivo psihologije, znanstveni status psihologije, trende ter smeri njenega znanstvenega razvoja in perspektive njenega teoretskega in praktičnega oblikovanja. Zmožen je tudi razumeti, presojati in ocenjevati sodobno stanje psihologije in primerjati njene prevladujoče usmeritve danes. Objectives and competences: Goals and aims: providing necessary information concerning the historical roots and development of psychological ideas as well as the insight into establishment and further development of psychological science. Competences: the incapacitation of the students in regard of the understanding and critical consideration of the history and perspectives of psychology, scientific status of psychology, of the trends, developments and perspectives of the theoretical, methodological and practical shaping of psychology. The students are also capable of understand, evaluate and compare different orientations and perspectives in psychology Predvideni študijski rezultati: Intended learning outcomes:

Poznavanje psiholoških koncepcij, modelov in teorij v preteklosti. Razumevanje različnosti in pomena predznanstvenega in znanstvenega proučevanja psihičnih pojavov, osebnosti in obnašanja. Uporaba: Aplikacija logike zgodovinskega pristopa na zgodovino in perspektive psihologije. Refleksija: Razumevanje in kritično presojanje temeljnih postavk in usmeritev sodobne psihologije v luči njihovega zgodovinskega nastajanja. Primerjava zgodovinsko pomembnih psiholoških koncepcij in njihovo kritično vrednotenje. Prenosljive spretnosti niso vezane le na en predmet: Usposobljenost za kritično in učinkovito uporabo virov, zbiranje in interpretacijo informacij, analize podatkov in izsledkov raziskovanja, komuniciranje strokovnih mišljenj in dognanj v ustni in pisni obliki Knowledge and understandings: Fundamental knowledge and understanding of - the logic of the historical approach and analysis; - psychological conceptions, models and theories of the past; - diversity of prescientific and scientific psychological models of the mind, personality and behavior. Application: Application of the historical approach on the development and perspectives of psychology. Reflexion: Critical and responsible reflection and comparison of the basic orientations in the psychology in the light of their historical shaping. Transferrable skills not linked to single courses: Basic incapacitation for - critical and effective use of informative sources, collecting and analysis of data, and professional communication in verbal or written form.
