7 Grammar Present Perfect English Grammar Titles Titles are very important in writing or listening articles. The title needs to be interesting, but not too long. There are some important rules to remember when making a title. Rule 1: Don t make your title too long, between 4 8 words is a good average. Rule 2: All the main words in a title should start with a capital letter. Happy Feet : Wayward Penguin Goes Home Hint 1 ALWAYS capitalise The first word / Abbreviations / First word after a colon / first word after a hyphen. Hint 2 DO NOT capitalise (except if it is the FIRST WORD!) - the, a, an, / prepositions (in, by, on etc.) / and, but, so, because / is / to. Look at some of the titles from previous podcasts and change the mistakes. Look at Hint 1 & Hint 2 to help you. One title has NO MISTAKES. 1: prime minister kan quits. 2: Where Is gaddafi? 3: New spiderman: bi-racial Teenager 4: the 193 rd Country! 5: Iceland Cigarettes Prescription Only! 6: Japan + 2: new World heritage Sites 7: Coke no 1 & no 2 The End For Pepsi? END OF GRAMMAR And Finally X & Z A4 Did You Know? 5 That only two days after x: z: was released into the Ocean his GPS tracking stopped working. There are fears that the penguin has been eaten by a shark. However, it is also possible that it has fallen off in the salty ocean.
