The gentleman felt sorry for Oliver as Oliver was very weak and tired, so he decided to take him home.

I think they were nice people as they were kind to Oliver. Mr. Brownlow took Oliver from the streets and Mrs. Bedwin took care of him while he was sick for days. 2- Why was Mr. Brownlow amazed when he saw Oliver's face together with the picture on the wall? Because Oliver's face was exactly like the face in the picture. 3- Describe Mr. Grimwig. In your opinion, what was his attitude towards Oliver? Why? He was a fat old man who walked slowly with a stick. He did not like boys. He did not like Oliver as he did not like boys and he told Mr. Brownlow not to trust Oliver. 4- Do you think that Oliver intended to come back? Why or why not? I think that Oliver was honest and he intended to do what Mr. Brownlow asked him to do. I think Oliver was not a bad person and he was happy in Mr. Brownlow's house, so he wouldn't lose this chance. C- Comment on the following quotations: 1- "Where am I? Who are you?" Oliver said these words when he opened his eyes in Mr. Brownlow's house after being sick for days. Mrs. Bedwin, the housekeeper, was there and she told him to be quiet or he might get sick again. 2- "Yes. The lady's face is so beautiful, but her eyes look sad." Oliver said these words to Mrs. Bedwin in her setting room when she asked him if he liked the picture. The picture showed a lady whose face was just like Oliver's. 3- "Don't tell me you're going to send me away!" said Oliver, and his eyes filled with tears. Oliver said these words to Mr. Brownlow in Mr. Brownlow's study (office) when he asked to see Oliver. Oliver was sad thinking that Mr. Brownlow was going to send him away while Oliver was, as a first in his life, happy in Mr. Brownlow's house. 4- "The boy has new clothes, five pounds and some books. He'll go straight back to his friends, the thieves, and laugh at you. If that boy comes back here tonight, I'll eat my hat." Mr. Grimwig said these words to Mr. Brownlow in Mr. Brownlow's study (office) when they were talking about Oliver.
