1 Gentlemen of the BTC, February 15, 2018 The fog is really thick and I can t see my key board! inches of snow and warm weather can do that. 9 weeks till golf. Anyways, not much going on this week and I did not hear much either. Lots of club members in and out of town escaping to warmer climate to get a head start on their golf game. I needed to cut out of the bowling lanes Tuesday for a prior engagement right after we were done so any stories and shenanigans that went on afterwards are lost in space. The first week of the Brocius Doubles is banked and should have some results from John Delano later in the letter. Congrats to Dave (Caitlyn) Jenner on his 299 game. Did Tim Magee keep his promise to make the third game pot the best ever? I had a few requests on what was the "great walk out" mentioned by Jim Fowler. Jim was kind enough to write me back to explain. In his words you really had to be there to appreciate the priceless looks. The story took place back when we did the Michigan Masters Golf Trip in Augusta, MI. As was the usual, we were all having dinner together on a long straight table. As the evening went on, the jokes were starting to flow, and usually ended in a competition of who told the best joke. John Mann, Ed Gaynor (RIP), Tom Dombro, Dave De Fries, Chuck Martino (RIP), and others were involved. The jokes were flowing and John Mann left the room for whatever reason and it was either Chuck or Tom D. that said, "Hey guys listen, when John comes back in he is going to throw some joke out for us." We all agreed to just sit there and not laugh, clap or nothing. John returned and indeed threw out a joke to us. Everyone did nothing. W ell the look on John s face was priceless. Then everybody got up and started to walk away, again not saying a word. There had to be 50 guys there and it was pulled off without a hitch. BTC shenanigans. Gentlemen there is a sheet at the end of this newsletter, fill it out and get back to me. There are so many great stories that need to be told and shared. Jerry Maciejewski wanted to remind everyone that the cutoff date for changes to the 2018 roster book will be the St Pat s Party. No member changes can be made after this date. Roster book ads will be a week or so later after that date. Any questions, to please let him know. Spot Light of the Week: Tim Magee Bowling in the BTC for 19 years. Tim wrote his story in crayon so I will do the best I can and it goes like this. One year at a St. Pat's party, I was nominated by my pal, Mike Kent, for a project that required some power tools. Well Mike, being a hairstylist, was a bit intimidated to do the project. So myself, working in the construction trades as a burnt clay artist, I boldly sprang into action. As club members looked on in amazement of my spectacular and superior workmanship, I completed the project. Creating quite a thirst, I ventured to the bar. Low and behold I see my teammates Kerkstra and Campbell. I proceeded to tell them of my accomplishments. We toasted our drinks and in unison we said, For the Club, For the Club.

2 R.M. Memory Best or raunchiest, I m confused Quote of the day: Comes from Sean Sujka talking about Dave Jenner s 299 game: I knew you would F@#$$%K it up somehow Announcement, announcement!!!! 3 BOWLING Tuesday was the start of the Brocius Doubles Tourney. There were some pretty good series bowled. The first week standings appear later in the newsletter. I'm sure among the leaders will be Dave Jenner, who shot a 768 series (801 handicap) which included a 299 game. The second best game was a 278 by Craig O'Reilly. And there were several high 600+ series. In the roll-off races, there are 3 "A" division and 5 "B" division teams within 7 points of the lead.
