2 NOTES ABOUT... PRISCILLA M. TRAVIS (Director) brings a great deal of experience to Ann Arbor Civic Theatre. She is a Director at the University of Michigan Television Center; this is her first experience directing a play for AACT, although she did a grand job of heading an AACT workshop last season. Pris is a candidate for a Ph.D. in radio, television and theatre here at Michigan. She directed Ibsen's GHOSTS, MIRACLE WORKER, and directed design and lighting for Oscar Wilde's SALOME. MELINDA WILLIS (Ruth Younger) debuts with AACT tonight but has many acting credits in her background. She appeared as Rachel in INHERIT THE WIND and performer in THE CAVE DWELLERS, and HENRY VI. Melinda is a first year graduate student specializing in psychiatric teaching. BILLY BREWER (Travis Younger) is in the sixth grade this year. This is his second time on Ann Arbor Civic Theatre stage, last appearing in ALL THE WAY HOME. Billy is a Boy Scout; he plays the trumpet; and he is interested in writing plays. SINGER BUCHANAN (Walter Lee Younger), Assistant Professor at EMU, is a valuable AACT member both as an actor and a director. Bucky directed the 1965 Actor's Workshop and OKLAHOMA. He last appeared in University Players' HENRY VI TRILOGY as Lord Somerset, and acted in AACT productions OUR TOWN, and JOAN OF LORRAINE. He was Drama Director of some 25 full length plays at Tuskegee before corning to Ann Arbor. LOIS J. OWENS (Benetha Younger) wears three hats: she is a housewife, a secretary, and an actress, making her debut tonight with Ann Arbor Civic Theatre. Lois taught dance in high school; she paints in her spare time. JULIA ILLONA MOORE (Lena Younger) is a speech major at the University of Michigan who has appeared as Queen Bee in PIONEER, GO HOME, as Mrs. Reiner in THE MOUSE THAT ROARED and was co-director of RAMSHACKLE INN. Julia also appeared as Felicity in THE BLACKS, produced by the U-M Comparative Literature Department. This is her first experience with AACT. BYRON HENDRICKS (Joseph Asagai) joins the AACT group for the first time. Byron is a University student from Jamaica who appeared in their production of THE BLACKS in the role of Doreif. WILLIAM BOYER (George Murchison) is a cosmetologist who specializes in designing clothing and coiffures to match. This is his first AACT appearance. He is a musician: plays the organ, clarinet, and drums, and is interested in linguistics and English. THOMAS WILLIAMS (Bobo) was a stage hand last year for AACT's production of KISS ME KATE. Tom is a psychiatric attendant at the University's Neuropsychiatric Institute. JOSEPH MEDRANO (Karl Lindner) has been a most active AACT member in addition to his roles as a high school math teacher and technical director of the high school's plays. Joe built beards for the Greek Theatre production of THE ORESTEIA. He appeared in AACT's ALL THE WAY HOME, VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE, NEVER TOO LATE, and many others, as well as serving as Production Manager for MARY, MARY. WILLIAM P. McADOO (Moving Man) has been a member of the University Musical Society for eleven consecutive years. This is his first experience on stage with AACT. Bill is a church choir director and soloist, who was co-organizer of the first A Capella choir in Ypsilanti. JIM WILLIAMS (Production Assistant and Moving Man) is a graduate student in radio and television. This is his debut with Ann Arbor Civic Theatre. JOHN FORD (Technical Director) has been associated with many AACT productions. John is a student at the University of Michigan. During last summer he was affiliated with the Ypsilanti Greek Theatre; his prior experiences included directing with the APA. ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS...
