As he portrays F. Scott Fitzgerald in his final days in Hollywood, actor Kurt Gravenhorst gives an insightful and poignant performance. The party begins with a jazz combo playing and F. Scott greeting and mingling with his guests (the audience, who are encouraged to wear fashions from the era). Then the host takes the stage, reflecting honestly on the highs and lows of his romantic, troubled life and discussing his novel-inprogress that he hopes will revive a forgotten reputation. After taking questions from his guests, F. Scott retires to the bar, and the party continues

Come out and hear the next generation of local jazz composers! Four years ago, band leader Gus Kambeitz began the local composer showcase in collaboration with San Jose Jazz. This season, Tabard and nineteen are proud to present the concert. Original tunes, if not already orchestrated for jazz band, are turned into full arrangements by nineteen and performed LIVE with the composers in attendance. Charts that are selected will be made available to local schools and universities through Walrus Music and the composers get the royalties!
