2 The short-length show is not a rough draft, a sketch or a minor performance. On the contrary it is an autonomous entity which is foregrounded at the multidisciplinary festival Court Toujours. Because it is compact, intense and radical, it goes straight to the point and is a privileged site of artistic experimentation. Court Toujours, the first short-length show multidisciplinary festival was created by Jean Boillot in Poitiers in Since October 2010, it takes place in Thionville, at the Théâtre en Bois, in ten different venues with a capacity of 2 to 300 seats. During the whole festival, we offer about 70 performances for 12 distinct shows (lasting from a few minutes to a maximum of 45 minutes), most of which are performed at least twice a day. 2

3 Court Toujours 2015 Short Length Show multidisciplinary FestivaL 6 th Edition September 2015 Friday the 18th Sunday the 20th The season in Thionville opens with more than 15 short-length shows: drama, circus, dance, street theater, puppets, movies. Whether downtown, at the Théâtre en Bois or in cars, there will be a variety of exciting small wonders lasting no more than half an hour. This year, Court Toujours offers shows for children aged 3 to 8, on Saturday, either at the Scala cinema or the Théâtre de Thionville. There will be two free admission, open-air shows: L.U.MEN and Fileuse, at the Théâtre en Bois. Enough to give you a taste of what Court Toujours has in store for you. Everybody on stage: If you wish to say a poem, sing, perform a fakir show, the NEST has set up an open stage where anybody can present a short-length form. The French-Belgian duo KO n Rv will close the festival with Belgian songs revisited, from Annie Cordy to Plastic Bertrand. 4 Opening the season Court Toujours kicks off the new season and vice versa! On September 18th, the NEST team will disclose the program of the season from October 15 to June 16: two festivals, three new productions and a dozen of shows from France, Belgium and Germany. Friday September 18th at 7 PM TeB, free admission with prior phone reservation, It will be followed by the L.U.MEN show, free admission danse Olivier Bonnet L.U.MEN stage direction and choreography Dominique Boivin musical composition and live interpretation Emilien Leroy / Compagnie Beau Geste from age 8 onward We watch the interaction of four bodies surrounded by darkness: three bodies and a big bucket lift playing with light and shadows. Thanks to the power of imagination, the industrial machine is metamorphosed and starts a dance which mixes organic and mechanical movements with live music. Friday 9.30 PM, Dalle, TeB, minutes, free admission Guy Kokken HUMAN BRUSH choreography and dance Vincent Glowinski video Jean-François Roversi from age 6 onward A dancer and painter uses his body as a paintbrush. Against a black backdrop, his body draws gigantic, hypnotizing video frescoes. Every choreographic gesture is recorded by a camera above and made instantly visible on a screen. He starts to climb, to play, and he is so busy he does not see the boat drifting away. How will he find his way back? A specific gesture calls to mind a souvenir, and a souvenir brings about a sigh. This is the last toast to life and to a dying day. Saturday 3 PM, Cinema La Scala, Thionville Cine-grown ups Elias A French film by Clément Badin, 2013 (52 min) The film shows Elias hectic life, his nights in Barcelona, the happy moments he shared with his friends and a major personal crisis. The Little stones A French cartoon by Chloé Mazio, 2014 (15 min) Chloé leads a happy life until she discovers an unbearable physical pain. Will she be able to get rid of it? Borders A French-Moroccan film by Ali Esmili and Claire Cahen, 2015 (15 min) A father must drive his daughter to the hospital on the other side of the border. The two clownish percussionists are linked by an invisible thread. One is the deformed mirror of the other. They use all sorts of percussions to make music. 11 extras DR DR SCèNES OUVERTES / OPEN STAGES Actors, singers, poets, musicians, dancers, if you wish to be on stage for a short-length performance (from 1 to 10 minutes maximum), the open stage is yours. A small stage of 4 by 2, set up in the Barnum, is at your disposal. All you need to do is write down your name at the Barnum on the day and show up on stage at night. Remember, time is of the essence. Saturday 7 PM, Barnum, 1 to 10 min per show BRUNCH The Sunday brunch is a tradition at the NEST. Both the artists and the spectators have the opportunity to meet and enjoy a savoury-sweet buffet. You can sit at the long wooden tables in the Stammtisch way in the Barnum or outside, overlooking the Moselle river. This is a great opportunity to meet the artists informally and to discuss the shows. 12 «à la carte» There are twenty shows available, among which some are programmed only once, others many times, so that everyone can devise his / her own schedule as he / she wishes. The spectators can either get their tickets from the ticketterie (ticket office) on the day of the festival or show up at the venue 10 minutes before the show starts provided they are still some seats available. All the shows start on time and latecomers will not be accepted.
