2 Hope Easton Biography Cellist Hope Easton, is a multifaceted musician. Classically trained, Hope has branched out into performing pop-electric cello, jazz as well as performing her own original music as a songwriter and singer. Hope performs all over the Los Angeles area in many different venues and groups. This summer she performed at Actor s Gang in Culver City in a production of Paul Sand s Kurt Weill Music, both playing and singing. Her television appearances include The Voice (2015), American Idol, The Tonight Show, Celebrity Rehab, 90210, Polaroid National Commercial, PBS Musical Encounters, and Morning Show in Cleveland, where she is from. She has performed, toured and recorded with many artists, including Sheryl Crow, Garth Brooks, Don Henley (The Eagles), Al Stewart, Il Volo, Leroy Sanchez, Marco Antonio Solis, Frank Ocean, Alex Band from The Calling, Mark Salling (Glee), Nick Palance, Magician Ivan Amodei and toured North America with Hollywood artist Sheila Nicholls. Hope has recorded for numerous composers for tv and film including Robert ToTeras (Critical Hit), Andy Grush (Magic Man, she played the whole score; Home Depot commercial), Christopher Lockett (Sci-Fi), and many many others. Hope also performs often in chamber music settings, as a member of her own group Sonos Chamber Players. The format can be as a duo, trio, quartet as well as classical, pop and jazz. As well Hope loves to perform as an electric cellist and is a member of BellaElectricStrings.com as well as having performed with SAGA strings, and Elan Artists. Some of the studios she has recorded in within the Los Angeles area include; Capitol Records, The Village, East West Studios, Bell Sound, Serenity West Recordings. Hope has written numerous songs and performed extensively. She writes and sings on the cello, guitar and piano. She has four Cd s which can be found on itunes, Amazon, Cd Baby and will soon be available on her site. As well she has many youtube videos and an Official Music Video posted this past April 2015.

3 Hope Easton Biography Hope has been teaching throughout her career, and currently has an active studio with many young budding cellists. Hope studied extensively from when she was a preparatory student at C.I.M. (Cleveland Institute), furthered her studies and got a Bachelor s at New England Conservatory in Boston, followed by a Fulbright Scholarship to England, then a small stint at San Francisco Conservatory. She attended many music festivals including Aspen, Banff, Taos Chamber Music Festival, Norfolk Chamber Music Festival (Yale), Yellow Barn Music Festival, Sandor Vegh Prussia Cove (U.K.) and Meadowmount School of Music. Her favorite teachers and mentors include; Nella Hunkins, Alan Harris, Stephen Geber, David Wells, Joseph Gingold, Ralph Kirschbaum, Mischa Schneider, and Irene Sharp. Some of the awards Hope has won include Fulbright Scholarship, Presidential Scholar Miami, Seventeen Magazine top 3 Chicago, Fresno String Competition winner, Cleveland Institute of Music Soloist Winner. Hope performs on a Carlos Ferdinand Landolphy 1776 and a Yamaha Electric Silent Cello.
