3 Biographies of the Musicians Peter Biro is a native of Connecticut and is a graduate of UCLA School of Fine Arts. His teachers have included Antonia Brico in Denver, J. Julius Baird in Colorado Springs, James Duncan in Pueblo, and Thomas Harmon in Los Angeles, California. He has performed throughout the western United States and in Europe. He is organist here at St. Mary s Church. He enjoys woodworking and building harpsichords. Rt. Rev d D. Presley Hutchens although born in Perth West Australia, we are delighted that Bishop Hutchens calls America home. His rich baritone voice was cultivated at the University of Houston where he studied music with Voice Professor Stephen Harbacheck. He earned a BS double major in music and psychology in 1968 from Texas A&M. His graduate degree in 1977 is from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Private study in voice continued with Professor Jullian T. Hendren (Sul Ross University, Texas). Colorado Emerald Society Pipe Band is a volunteer organization comprised of members of the fire service and law enforcement communities. They are dedicated to honoring OUR FALLEN and to preserving the interesting Celtic heritage of those professions. Please visit their website at Colorado Conservatory for the Jazz Arts - provides unique opportunities to Colorado youth for the study and performance of jazz under the mentorship of professional jazz musicians. 6 Biographies of the Artists John C. Gair - is indeed a photographic artist. His brochure details his latest undertaking entitled Vanishing West. His keen eye and composition capture the contemplative mood of Colorado s uniquely western lifestyle. Such activities and broad expansive vistas portray the timeless history that our state has to offer. Bill and Sandy Fifield Bill has designed and created the Eagle pulpit, Sunburst, Holy Spirit sculpture, and the carved wooden Stations of the Cross here in the nave of St. Mary s Church. Sandy has designed and created all the Stained Glass Windows at St. Mary s. Noon on Sunday, May 20 th, marks the dedication of their collaborative efforts on the Red Rose Right to Life Window to be installed at St. Mary s. Parker Artists Guild - is an organization comprised of a wide variety of artists from the Douglas County and greater Denver Metro areas. Their Mission is to advance the development of fine arts in the community. Members of the Guild offer the following works for sale during this Festival: pottery, panoramic photos, wood vases, jewelry, various forms of mixed media, and photography. Please visit their website at Karen Kulp is a fine designer and has created unique notecards for St. Mary s Church for a number of years now. We appreciate her creative religious designs and themes. You can always find her notecards displayed in our main entrance to the narthex. We are delighted to have her works for sale, both notecards and photography, during this Festival. Pat Fraser has been making one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces for about ten years. She specializes in statement and custom pieces for her private clientele and sells at selected events, fund raisers, and hosts four seasonal collections each year. Thomas R. Borrett offers his unique Trinity cross prints during our May Festival. He is a student of religious studies here in Denver and incorporates a broad depth of religious knowledge in his works. Christopher Van Dyke is a talented sculpture artist who joins us from Colorado Springs. He has been learning and perfecting his craft for a number of years, even as he pursues his High School studies. His work focuses on realistic representations of both animals and figures. St. Mary s Flower Guild has created lovely flower arrangements for sale which are on display throughout the Festival. Most may be taken at the time of purchase; several will need to be picked up at the end of the Festival (7:00pm on Sunday, May 20 th ) or Monday afternoon (May 21 st ) at the church office on the second floor.
