9 STATION NEWS Partnership brings DSO concerts to capital area listeners, MSU Concerts to Detroit Classical music lovers in the capital region will be able to hear Detroit Symphony Orchestra Live on 90.5 FM WKAR beginning this month, thanks to a new partnership between WKAR, WRCJ 90.9 Detroit, MSU College of Music and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. WRCJ listeners across Detroit will be treated to two new weekly hours of classical music from WKAR. MSU in Concert and What's New in Classical will be heard on 90.9 FM WRCJ Detroit Saturdays at 9am Detroit Symphony Orchestra Live debuts on 90.5 FM WKAR on Friday, April 21 at 10:45am. Susi Elkins named director and general manager Susi Elkins has been named director of Broadcasting and general manager of WKAR Public Media at Michigan State University. Elkins had been serving as interim director since May The announcement was made in March by Prabu David, dean of the College of Communication Arts and Sciences.
