Introduce the theme verse. Display All Creation Sings Theme Poster. Read Psalm 150:6 from the Bible: Let everything that breathes sing praises to the Lord. Praise the Lord! (paraphrased)

49 Preschool Session Plan 1 Page 3 of 4 Explain that though animals, fish, birds, and insects do not sing like people do, the sounds they make were created by God. All living things were made to praise God. Singing is one way to worship and show our love for God. Play Demo 1, and have children count the number of times they hear the words Praise the Lord! (ten) Have children find all the creatures of God s creation on the theme poster that were named in the song. (birds, bugs, bees, fish, people like you and me) Wonderfully Made by God 1. Listen and march to the steady beat. Read Psalm 139:14a to children from the Bible: I praise you because you made me in an amazing and wonderful way. * Tell children they are all very special in their own way because God made each of them wonderfully. Have children stand in a line, placing yourself at the front as leader, and placing another adult at the end. Practice marching around the room. Play Demo 2, and march to the steady beat of the music. Return to the starting point as the music ends. Pray, thanking God for making each child so wonderfully. ACTIVITY GROUPS Play Demo 2, and have children march to Activity Groups. A Praise the Lord! B Mountain Melodies C Walking Through Creation D Bate Bate Chocolate LARGE GROUP 2 Play Demo 23 ( O for a Thousand Toungues to Sing ) to signal Large Group. God Made Everything Big and Small 1. Introduce the song with animal sounds. Display the eight Animal Stackers in random order. Play Demo 5, pausing the recording after the first pair of animal sounds. Choose a child to select the first two Animal Stackers, and stack them one on top of the other. * From International Children s Bible Copyright 1986, 1988, 1999, 2015 by Tommy Nelson, a division of Thomas Nelson. Used by permission.

50 Preschool Session Plan 1 Page 4 of 4 Have children imitate each animal sound as demonstrated on the recording. Continue listening for animal sounds, stacking pairs of Animal Stackers, and imitating the sounds. (There will be four stacks of paired animals: ducks and turkeys, owls and geese, frogs and snakes, sheep and bears.) Play Demo 5, and have children make the animal sounds when they occur. When I Hear the Birds 1. Listen and move. Play Demo 7 and have children listen to the words and copy your movements: When I hear the birds point to ears When I smell the flowers point to nose When I feel the budding grass tickling at my feet point to toes When I see the leaves point to eyes When I taste the berries point to mouth I know God made everything/loves everyone sweep hands out And I know that God made/loves me point to self Display the gift bag you prepared and choose a child to take an item from it. Display the item and ask if it is something to see, hear, smell, taste, or touch. (There may be multiple correct answers.) Continue allowing children to take items from the gift bag. Tell children that God gave us our five senses so that we could enjoy the world He made for us. God made us and loves us. Play Demo 7, and perform the movements as before. CLOSING Devotional Use Devotional 1 from All Creation Sings Fall Devotionals Preschool. Devotionals can be downloaded for free by going to and clicking on Curriculum Devotionals. Prayer Song Play Demo 12, and have children bow their heads as they listen.
