1 Video for: PadMapper Making Apartment Hunting Suck Less created by 1. Project PadMapper is a web application that aims to make searching online for an apartment to rent less painful by letting you see where the apartments are on a big Google map, and using the filters located in the box on the lower left to eliminate listings that you're not interested in. 2. Animation Style The animation style should be extremely clean, simple, yet very sucinct, and effective at explaining the main features for PadMapper. All shots should be connected dynamically using super fluid and clever transitions. 3. Graphic and Illustrations Characters should be very simple original illustrations animated with the puppet tool. Make sure the characters feel dynamic, fun, and humorous at times. The simpler the better, think stick men, or close to that. 4. Sound Effects Sound effects should be scarce and used on key moments to pint point transitions and physical interactions. For fast transitions use 2 or 3 kinds of whoosh effects. Use background sounds and voices to illustrate different environments. 5. Soundtrack Try several tracks, Ensure tracks levels are well below voice over. Choose instrumental tracks that match the corkiness and geekyness of the animation. 6. Deliverables The final animation will be rendered as a Quicktime movie at 1280x720 using H264 codec. Searching for the best possible apartment is a pain (in the ass), because there are a zillion apartment listing sites and they are all slow, ugly, complicated, and don t make any sense. Well until now! Say hello to PadMapper! Padmapper is and awesome free service that takes the pain out of finding the perfect apartment How?..Simple! Just enter an address, city, or zip code click enter and voila! All the available apartments at that location will be displayed on a big (honking) map. Zoom and pan to explore over the area you want to move to. You can filter by price, no of bedrooms, bathrooms, keywords, pets, and lots more criteria. Check different overlays to see how close are grocery stores, banks, restaurants, or gyms. There is even an overlay that shows crime areas so you can stay away from the bad guys! To make sure you are always close to your work you can show only apartments within specific time walking or driving. Click on the pegs to view detailed information, like contact info, prices or any available apartment pics. Add your preferred choices to your favorites or subscribe to daily or hourly alerts to make sure you don t miss out on the latest listings. When you are done searching just print your favourite results and start setting appointments. Filter UI assets as shown, "more" txt and arrow 9. Zoom back out to reveal map. Show four big pegs in Sync with VO. Add corresponding pegs to map randomly to illustrate overlays in action.
