4 II. GRAMMAR REVIEW: Topic: Adjectives (5-6 minutes) An adjective is a word that describes or modifies a noun. Usually, adjectives are placed before a noun, but sometimes, it could also come after the verb. Two or more adjectives can be put together in the following order to describe a noun or a pronoun: Opinion (what you think of it) Size (how big or small) Age (how old or young) Shape Color Origin (where it comes from) Material (what it is made out of) Purpose (what it is used for) Noun Beautiful tall young - - American - - women. New rectangular yellow silk sleeping mattress Remember: Always follow the order given above when using more than one adjective in a sentence. Examples: Adjective/s Noun/Pronoun The honest employee was given an award. A serious, tall manager scares me. The young, Japanese man is new to the company.
