Spring is here and so is Tigers baseball! Join us on April 8th for opening day as we will be hosting an opening day party. There will be light refreshments, followed by entertainment with Ron Muka. Come and join us. Fun will be had by all who attend. American House Choir The American House Choir has been given a once in a lifetime opportunity. The choir members will be giving a performance of the American House Anthem. This is the premiere that will be held at the Detroit Symphony Orchestra Hall. Heart to Heart Please join us on April 27th at 2 pm for an informative presentation about the benefits of hospice with Ryan Schumacher from Heart to Heart Hospice.

2 2 Community News New Activities We have made a few changes to our monthly calendar. Please make note of the new activities that have been added daily. There is sure to be something you will enjoy. Participating in activities is a great way to meet a new friend or visit with an old friend. Ashley Bucks Starting in April, each resident that attends an activity will receive an Ashley Buck. Each resident that attends an outing will receive double the bucks. At the end of every other month, there will be an auction that will be held on the last Wednesday of that month. The bucks that each resident has collected will be used in the auction. Remember, the only way to receive an Ashley Buck is to attend an activity. Community News Resident Council Our monthly resident council meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 13, at 2 p.m., in the cafe. All residents are encouraged to attend in order to voice their suggestions and concerns. Each department head will be in attendance to answer your concerns. We also have a suggestion box that is located in the cafe. Feel free to leave any suggestions during the month. Please note that we will now be holding our resident council meetings on Wednesdays. Resident Store The Resident Store is now open! The store will be in the cafe on Thursdays from 1 to 2 p.m. Everything is $1. There are basic items in the store. If there is something that you may need that is not in the store, please feel free to contact Ashley in the Life Enrichment Office. Happy Shopping!
