2 Chicago Literacy Alliance is thrilled to present Literacenter, North America s first shared nonprofit workspace devoted to the cause of literacy. This first-of-its-kind landmark provides literacy organizations in all stages of development with exciting, creative, and affordable space; a full slate of events where members can connect with experts and each other; and an ever-growing network of support and resources to empower collaboration. 80+ member organizations providing literacy services and programs at every level, from early childhood activities and K-12 literary arts all the way through college preparation and adult learning. 16 meeting rooms named after books, equipped with WiFi and A/V equipment, and holding people apiece. 5 Literascooters for getting around the space and meeting fellow collaborators. 41,000 sqft of offices, workspace, social lounges, flex desks, meeting spaces, and conference facilities. 20+ programs each month, including expert mentor hours, topic info sessions, book clubs, member meetups, and more.

All space rentals include: Pre-arranged staff orientation to the space, availability to answer questions, and on-site assistance for the duration of the event (should the event take place on the evening or weekend) Optional rearrangement of furniture if desired for an additional fee Use of our built-in technology All renters of Literacenter space are responsible for their own setup and cleanup, catering, and coordination with Literacenter staff to ensure that all necessary preparation has taken place in advance of their event. There are no restrictions on food or nonalcoholic drinks. For the serving of alcoholic beverages, we require an on-site insured bartender. We have relationships with caterers and are happy to make recommendations as requested.
