Theater is located off South Glebe Road, near Highway 50. Gunston Theatre One Coming east from I-395: Take the Glebe Road Exit going South. At the top of the ramp, turn left at the light. You will go under I-395 and come to a light. At the next light, please stay to the left to remain on South Glebe Road. You will go several more blocks, with Four Mile Run on your right and the Avalon apartment complex on your left. At the next light, you will see a shopping center on your left. It has a Giant and a Gold s Gym. Continue on Glebe to the end of the shopping center; turn left on S. Lang Street at the BB&T Bank. You will come to a stop sign go straight and you will see Gunston on your left. If you get to a 2nd stop sign at Arlington Ridge Road, you have gone too far. Coming west from Route 1: Turn on South Glebe Road. You will pass a couple of lights, with the water treatment plant on your left. As you continue, you will see Four Mile Run on your left. The next light is Arlington Ridge Road to your right and Mount Vernon Avenue to your left. Go through the light and make your first right on S. Lang Street, right before the BB&T Bank. You will come to a stop sign go straight and you will see Gunston on your left. If you get to a 2nd stop sign at Arlington Ridge Road, you have gone too far. 3 From the Capital Beltway proceed East on Route 50. Exit North on Route 3. Turn Left on Sylvan Drive at the sign for the White Marsh Recreation Area and Left on route 3 South, or alternatively pass Sylvan Lane and make a U-Turn at the traffic light at Route 450 and proceed South on Route 3. Note: The turn on Sylvan Drive can be difficult if there is heavy south-bound traffic, so you are better off continuing past Sylvan Drive to the light at Route 450, where you can make a U-turn, then proceed south. Make a right turn into White Marsh Recreation Area. Proceed past the ball fields to the parking lot on the left at the end of the driveway. Follow the signs to the Bowie Playhouse. Lanier Middle School From I-495, take the exit for US-50 W/Arlington Blvd toward Fairfax. In about 3 miles, turn right onto Blake Lane/Pickett Road. Continue on Blake Lane for about 2 miles until it becomes Jermantown Road. Lanier Middle School will be on the left in about 2.5 miles. Free parking is available in the lot. Proceed on North St. to State Circle. Turn left on State Circle and walk two blocks to East St. Turn left and the theater will be on your left a half block ahead. Theater on the Run From 1-395, take Exit 6 towards Shirlington, which puts you on S. Shirlington Road; take the first left at the light onto S. Four Mile Run Drive S. Just ahead is a light for Southway, you can go all the way to the light and turn right or use the right exit to Baltimore-Washington Parkway which will also allow merge onto Southway. Take Southway into the center of town. 4. After crossing Crescent Road, Southway becomes Centerway, take the first left and proceed through the parking lot, then to the right down the hill. That's the first question to answer. Once you've gotten onto the GW Parkway and passed the airport on your left, continue heading south. The Parkway becomes Washington Street as you enter the city of Alexandria. Cross King Street and take the third left after King onto Wolfe Street. You will find LTA on the right hand side of the street, at the corner of Wolfe and St. Asaph streets. From The Capital Beltway - take the exit for Route 1 North. As you exit on the ramp, you'll drive onto Route 1 and get in the right lane immediately. Take the first right, onto Franklin St. At the light, make a left onto Washington Street. Pass two lights and make a right onto Wolfe St. LTA is at the corner of Wolfe and St. Asaph streets. Parking - Parking is on the street. Watch posted signs, as some areas have two hour parking limitations and some require payment. The Capital One Bank on the corner of Wilkes and Washington streets lets our patrons park in their lot when the bank is closed. Please note The Capital One Bank has extended their hours to include evening and weekend hours. Please make sure not to use their parking lot when they are open. There are several garages within walking distance - one is on Washington Street, near King, and there are several on Pitt, near King. Look for the "Public Parking" signs. One handicap accessible parking space is located on St Asaph Street next to LTA s courtyard. WATCH Judges are highly encouraged to call early when attending a Musical or our Christmas show because these productions regularly sell out. Sunday matinee performances also sellout very quickly for plays and musicals. Continue South on Route 5 for about twenty miles. Route 5 will merge with Route 301 and in Waldorf Route 5 will split off to the left towards Leonardtown. Keep going straight on Route 301 towards La Plata. Before leaving La Plata, you will reach a stop light (Maryland Route 6), turn left. PTP is about half a mile down Route 6 (Charles Street) on your left. It is a very tall conspicuous building in its surroundings and you should find it easily. From Virginia: Once across the Wilson Bridge take Exit # 2, Route 210 South towards Indian Head. Travel South on Route 210 for about 10 miles and take a left on Route 228 going towards Waldorf. Continue on 228 for about 7 miles until you reach the intersection of Route 301. Turn right (headed South again) on Route 301 for about 10 miles until you reach Maryland Route 6 in La Plata. Turn Left on Route 6 (Charles Street) and PTP will be about a half mile on the left.
