1 Broadway Promenade Condominium Association Playbill VOLUME 11, ISSUE 4 APRIL 2018 Seasonal Close-Up It s that time of the year again when most of our seasonal residents are returning home. The following is a checklist of friendly reminders that need to be attended to prior to your traveling for extended periods. Inform management of service companies that will have access to your unit i.e., cleaning persons, contractors performing work in your absence, A/C companies, etc. If your vehicle is going to be picked up and transported, please give management any pertinent information that may be necessary. If your vehicle is going to be left on property, please inform management and/or make arrangements to have a set of keys available in case of emergencies or if the vehicle needs to be re-located. If you leave a unit key with a neighbor, please inform management of the individual. Ice makers should be turned off. Empty, clean, unplug or turn off electrical breaker and leave doors ajar on the refrigerator and freezer. Shut off water and gas (if applicable). Set air conditioning thermostat to between 78 and 80 degrees. Unplug TV, Stereo, small appliances, and computer. Close and lock windows, pull drapes and shades. Prepare garbage disposal flush thoroughly with HOT water with disposal running, follow with cool water. Stop disposal. LESSONS LEARNED PLEASE DO NOT PUT CONTENTS OF REFRIGERATOR DOWN THE DIS- POSAL AS YOU CLEAN IT OUT THAT COULD CAUSE A STOPPAGE ON A LOWER FLOOR. Put toilet seat down. (Plastic wrap over the bowl helps to prevent evaporation) ALL PATIO FURNITURE AND LOOSE ITEMS MUST BE BROUGHT INSIDE OFF THE DECK, BALCONIES, AND PATIO AREAS. PLEASE NO LARGE POTTED PLANTS. Make sure the front desk has a vendor key for your unit in case of emergency a friend, condo manager or a neighbor can gain access to your unit. 2 HELLOEVERYONE! Our community herbs have been planted and are ready for harvesting, for all our new owners or tenants the herb garden is located in the pool area. It is a delight to see so many of you, scissors in hand, choosing which herb will be in your dish du jour, and I ve heard through the grapevine that many of your delicious repasts have been successfully enhanced by our heavenly herbs! In order to keep our herb garden thriving, it is essential that when you want BASIL, you cut or pinch right ABOVE THE NEXT LEAF PAIR rather than leaving a stub. Otherwise, that s the end of that plant! This is YOUR garden, so enjoy it! Your herb lady, Joan-Isabelle Glidden, unit 1129 At the risk of sounding like a broken record, we strongly recommend every unit has their hot water heater changed out for a new one if it is an original from the building construction. We also recommend the valves are changed at the same time. The cost is roughly $1000. This is not much compared to the extensive damage a leaking, or busted hot water heater will cause. Their life spans are generally 7-10 years. If yours is original, it is now over 10 years old. Please contact the front desk at least 48 hours in advance of when you have this scheduled so that water shut off notifications can go out. Thank you! Message from Broadway Promenade Mail Lady, Lorraine: Hello Broadway Promenade Residents, If leaving for an extended vacation or for the season, please fill out either an authorization to Hold Mail form OR Official Mail Forwarding Change of Address Order form located at the front desk. Please mail or leave the form(s) inside your mailbox.

3 A Warm Welcome To Our Newest Property Manager: Tomi Andrews Stacia Searcy we thank you for your hard work and dedication! Friendly Reminder Please give the front desk at least 24 hours if you are expecting any furniture deliveries, any contractors or housekeepers. Access to your unit may be denied without proper notification or paperwork. Thank you! April Public Open House Times with Sasaki Design Team: Robert L.
