2 Welcome to the TIFF Kids Industry Conference! Designed to inspire and engage creators of children s films, television and games, the conference will feature a diverse group of guest speakers from around the world, ranging from filmmakers, writers and animators to researchers, interactive producers and educators. This year s edition will focus on creating memorable characters, crafting immersive stories, and inspiring children to be creators. Edit Profile This tool allows registered industry professionals to update their contact information. All updates will be visible in the Delegates Guide two business days after they are made. TIFF Kids Industry Guide A digital version of the Industry Guide that Industry Conference attendees receive in their delegate bags upon picking up their passes. Features a breakdown of all industry programming panels, speakers, and schedule. TIFF Kids Programme Guide A digital version of the Programme Guide that Industry Conference attendees receive in their delegate bags upon picking up their passes. Features a list of all films screening at the festival, accompanied by in-depth descriptions. TIFF Kids Rights List A list of all films playing at the 2015 TIFF Kids International Film Festival, with additional information such as director credits, runtime, and relevant tags/keywords. The international sales agency, sales agent contact information, and available territories are also included if applicable. Industry Workshop & Meet With... Sign-Up Form Registered delegates can access the Workshop and Meet With... sessions sign-up form in the secured section of our website. Sign-up is on a first-come, first-served basis. If a session reaches maximum capacity, it will be marked as such and delegates wishing to attend can attempt to rush the session day-of. This screening is open exclusively to registered industry delegates of the TIFF Kids International Film Festival. Cal Brunker and Bob Barlen (Escape from Planet Earth) will discuss the process of planning, writing, and (most importantly) rewriting animated movies while they are in production. This invitation-only event offers a half-day professional development workshop on children s book adaptations for film and television. Eight Ontario publishers or literary agents and eight writers, directors and producers will take part in a structured programme of project pitches and one-on-one meetings. Co-presented with 8:30am 5:00pm WORKSHOP* Developing Strong Stories for Strong Children The Lab (4th Floor) Children s television can provide kids with positive models and help them cope with crises and difficult situations, but it can also impede their self-appreciation by reinforcing stereotypes and imposing certain sets of values. In this in-depth workshop for aspiring and established writers, directors and producers, participants will learn more about how children integrate TV and film into their identity development, and will write their own little story of strength.
