The producers cast and crew have made it very easy for me. Most of the work on a play is done long before you get to see it. Most of the hard work is done by the producers, in this case Anne and Bev, this is where it all starts and then they in turn get together a talented group of people that work hard to put the play together. Lighting, Sound, Publicity, Set dressing and Props arejust a few areas covered, there is much more. My job as director is to just tap the sides and keep everyone going on the same track. 3 The Players: Stephanie Christiaens (Harriet) This is Steph s debut performance with the Aldershot Players and it s been an amazing experience! Steph has been performing in theatre, film, tv and commercials for over 20 years. Aside from acting, Steph is president of Stage 88 theatre company in Brantford; producer with indie film company, Post- Life Productions; and a research fellow for the Arts Ecology in Brantford. You can see her next at the Light house Festival Theatre in Port Dover, and touring to the Showboat Festival Theatre in Port Colborne, for their summer season in Robin Hawdons new play, Stage Fright. Steph wants to thank to the entire cast and crew for working around her crazy schedule to give her the opportunity to work with such a fantastic group! Andy Dumas (Gordon) Andy Dumas is a versatile stage performer and a veteran of radio and television. He is the author of multiple fitness books and was the resident fitness expert on Real life on CTS-TV. Some of Andy s favourite roles were in the theatre productions of Murdered to Death, N The Mousetrap, Run For Your Wife and Noises Off Andy s thrilled to be working with such a talented cast and crew (...and Stephanie)! Special thanks to our Crazy director James Luckett. Thanks for putting up with us, old boy! Dianne McEwan (Anne) This is Dianne s 2nd appearance with TAP having previously performed as Marjbrie in Don t Misunderstand Me. Last performance was with Dundas Little Theatre in - Noises Off, favourite productions are Murdered To Death, Run For Your Wife, Mousetrap and Tom Dick & Harry. Di is very happy to be joining the cast of Key For Two and 9. thanks both James for his invaluable direction, and the very talented cast and crew. Let the fun begin again. Ivan Buzzelli (Alec) After a 4 year absence from the TAP stage when he appeared in Harvey, our president Ivan is delighted to return to his theatre roots at TAP. He has been very busy though, and has appeared in several productions including Jacques Brel Is Alive And Well And Living In Paris, The Game s Afoot and Cabaret at The Players Guild in Hamilton, and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels at Drury Lane in Burlington where he has also served as Mr. Chairman in their annual Music Hall shows for the last 4 years. This past summer he also joined The Burlington Footnotes for their Gotta Sing Gotta The Players (cont d): Dance show at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre. Key For Two will be his first non-musical in over 2 years and will be a bit of a break from all that singing, especially since he still maintains that he s not a singer! Key for Two has been a wonderful experience and he thanks the incredible and talented cast and crew for their help and for all the laughs they shared. It s good to be back! Asher Hunter (Richard) Key for Two is Asher s third production for TAP. He be gan as an improvisor, training in Toronto and Chicago before branching into acting in film and on stage. He has worked in the past at the Staircase Theatre as the Improv Education Director, as well as a producer of Theater Sports, a weekly improvised show. Asher is currently undergoing renovations to serve you better. Carol Long (Magda) Carol is delighted to be performing with The Aldershot Players. Carol is not a newcomer to theatre; she has worked on the following plays Murdered to Death and On Golden Pond with Village Theatre, Waterdown. Carol has experience with both on stage and the technical side as well as behind the scenes. Welcome Carol to The Aldershot Players! Bev Mattson (Mildred/Co-Producer) Bev is happy to be back at TAP appearing in this produc tion of Key for Two. Bev has been in numerous produc tions over the years including Dearly Departed, Bedtime Stories, Self Help and You Can t Take It With You. 5 The Crew: James Luckett (Director) James has ben involved in theatre for over forty years and has been on both sides of the stage, acting and directing. (FORTY YEARS! It doesn t seem possible. It sure went fast!) He was fortunate enough to have been acting and directing for Caprius Dinner Theatre for four years and appeared at the Lime Light Dinner Theatre in Toronto. He also appeared and directed for The Alumni Theatre in Toronto. For TAP, he directed Jenny s House of Joy, and Don t Mis understand Me. He is pleased to once again direct for The Aldershot Players. Anne Hogan (Stage Manager) Anne started theatre in the Box Office but was pulled backstage where she can be found working with Waterdown, Dundas, Aldershot and Hamilton theatres in various capacities. Recent stage managing credits include Shadow of A Blonde (Dundas Little Theatre), Sex Please We re Sixty (The Aldershot Players) and On Golden Pond (Village Theatre, Waterdown). 7 Join us for our Spring 2018 production. We can t tell you what it is yet, but a fun time is guaranteed for all! Opening night is April 6, I GOLDEN HORSESHOE CHORUS Wanna sing??? Singing together is fun for all ages! We welcome all singers who enjoy getting together in a relaxed non-competitive way. And under the direction of Jordan Travis, the internationally acclaimed musician and vocal coach, we achieve great sounds. With men s and women s divisions, we are a cappella chorus singers, performing in the barbershop style of fourpart close harmony. Many of us also sing with other barbershop groups and various choirs. Some of us read music, but most do not! Give it a try; come on out and see what happens when folk have fin singing. We meet right here, in the theatre room of West Plains United Church.
