This Section was charged with the responsibility of stdying the transistor 88 a possible component in the Whirlwind. I1 System and of evalating the performance in terms of maximm reliability with the maxinnm possible speed obtainable. In, Lincoln's Grop 63 designed and constrcted the TX0 compter2 to danonstrate a compter sing highspeed transistor circitry and to gain operating experience with transistor systems which connmlicated with core memory and terminal systems. Ac #19 contains 3 items, and is arranged in chronological order. The contents of this collection are nclassified Archives Collection No. 18 "Air Defense Compter Program" Archives Collection No. 31 "TX0 And TX2 Compter" April 1965
