2 Main Colours Avoid using colours not in this palette. If an exception is needed, please contact CIBC Brand Governance f permission to use it. Primary Colour Primary Colour CIBC Claret is the main colour of the CIBC logo. In illustrations, both CIBC Accent Red and CIBC Claret can be used to accentuate active key elements. Choose the red that is right f the layout. If utilizing broad bands of colour from which copy will be knocked out, use CIBC Claret and not CIBC Accent Red. Please note, however, that Claret colour blocking is no longer a fundamental part of the branded template. CIBC Claret PMS 201C PMS 7427U Secondary Palette Secondary Palette Use CIBC Accent Red to typeset headlines, as an alternative to CIBC Claret, and in illustrations. F copy (i.e., hashtags, headlines, subheads), we always prefer CIBC Accent Red to CIBC Claret. CIBC Accent Red PMS 186C Dark Grey Black: 73% CIBC Yellow PMS 123C PMS 109U Black
3 CIBC Flat Logo Flat Logo There must be a white keyline around the CIBC Flat logo when it is placed on a CIBC Claret dark background. Be sure to check the logo library f all approved logos. Use the CIBC Flat logo when space file size does not allow f the CIBC Cube logo. In these cases the CIBC Flat logo can be applied to any medium. Shadow This logo has no shadow. Colour: CIBC Yellow Colour: CIBC Claret
4 CIBC Flat Logo: Protected Space CIBC Flat Logo Protected Space The CIBC Cube logo is preferred; it s an imptant totem f the brand. Use it when space file size permits. The CIBC Flat logo with without tagline must be framed with a minimum area of clear space equal to the height of the C. X = height of the "C" Minimum Size* To ensure that the logo reproduces properly, we have minimum print and digital specifications. F standard and mobile online banners we use the CIBC Flat logo. *images not to scale 40 px 0.375" CIBC Flat Logo Minimum Size f Print The logo should not be reproduced smaller than 0.375". CIBC Flat Logo Minimum Size f Digital Media The logo should be a minimum of 40 pixels high.
5 CIBC Brand Logo: Don ts When using any CIBC logo, be sure to access our large library of logos. Do not create, recreate alter any logos. In the library you will find versions of all the colour fmats in both English and French. Below are a few examples of logo don ts: CIBC Flat Logo Don ts Do not stretch the logo. Do not rotate the logo. CIBC Do not typeset CIBC. Do not alter the colours.
6 CIBC Brand Logo: Legal Trademark Lines & Legal Disclaimers All trademark lines and legal disclaimers must be printed as legal mice type in 100% black. Trademark lines must be printed on the creative communications piece on which the trademark appears.
