The audience can clearly identify what defines the character in the story by the author's description, the environment the character came from and the thoughts of the character revealed within the book. 2. The art of critiquing movies is more about connection with the characters which stems from the depth of their development. The thesis is strong and offers most of the necessary information. -The outline/organizer provides a close reading of book and film using comparison and contrast patterns of development. The outline only seems to focus on character development, but that is NOT enough to develop the final draft of this eam. -The main points analyze the significance of the changes between book and film. There is no analysis on how the differences affect the audience. Organization -Ideas are logically arranged and help move paper forward. Ideas are underdeveloped; the eam focuses on ONE difference characters. -Each proposed main point is focused on one aspect of the topic and helps support the thesis statement. Only ONE point is proposed, and that is simply not enough to move this eam along. Style and Voice -Maintains a consistent point of view on topic The POV is too narrow. -Proposed evidence will engage readers interest in the topic. Evidence is on track but more development would help. Bibliography -Properly formatted using MLA guidelines. The bibliography is strong. -Provided si potential outside sources for research. Seven sources are used. Conventions -The outline/organizer has been spell-checked and proofread to check for errors in word choice and typos. Errors do not interfere. -The paper is reasonably free of errors that interfere with a reader s ability to understand the content. Errors do not interfere.
