No všetko závisí od motivácie, snahy a úsilia každej z nás. Každá z nás by asi napísala niečo iné. Niečo iné by vyzdvihla, niečo iné skritizovala. A angličtina? Ing. Martina Zachvejová our studentscreations STUDY MATERIALS COMICS

Ja vás chcem svojim príspevkom upokojiť a motivovať. Keď sa chceli rozprávať cez hodinu, nevadilo mi to, ale keď som zbadala, že sa rozprávajú o niečom o čom sa neučilo, stačilo, keď som povedala:,, Ok, you can speak but only in English..

tvoriť a skladať vety v anglickom jazyku. Ešte by som uviedla jednu situáciu. Preto držím palce a prajem Vám, aby ste zažili prax a žiakov akých som mala ja. Bc.

maoni NK uzoefu I: Why did you choose Slovakia? How did you get to know about such a small country? S: Why did I choose Slovakia? I normally in return tend to answer this question as why not Slovakia? I think the people of Slovakia are the ones seeing their country as small. Slovakia might be small in size, but one thing is for sure, it s widely and broadly known all over the world. Slovakia is one country known by very many other countries all gives to the third world countries annually? And what of the many Slovaks pursuing for greener pastures abroad? Or even studying? Just but to mention how Slovak isn t small. I: You study English and Civics. Why have you chosen these subjects? S: English and Civics is just but a combination like Maths and maybe let s say Religion. As a future teacher, you have to use a strategy to see what interests you most, and Interviews (with those who came) : Meza ya yaliyomo yetu ya wanafunzi On the following pages, we are glad to present to you the interviews with our new schoolmates. Unfortunately, not all of them will be staying here as some will return to their homes in Turkey. We are glad to have met you! over the World just not to mention African countries. Did you know that there s a town in China that is named after Československo? They have been brewing wine with Nitra for many years now. What about a village of Slovaks in the USA? And did you know how many Aid programmes Slovak Government Sheba from Kenya so did English and Civics. I: How does the school system in Kenya work? Could you compare it to the Slovak one? S: School system works slightly different unlike in Slovakia. We have two kinds of schools, private and public schools which can

either boarding schools or day schools. These Private schools are normally paid for by the parents of the children attending. In public schools, the government subsidizes some levies, but generally education is paid for in Kenya. We have one programme called system meaning 8 years in primary school, 4years in secondary school and finally 4years at the university. I: In the comparison with Kenya, what are the people in Slovakia like? How do they behave when they see that you have a different colour of skin? S: Kenyans are generally warm and very friendly and this applies to almost all Africans. As far as what Slovaks see in me as black, I don t care much so long as none insults me, I am very peaceful. But I think so far, Slovaks realize that other people who are none white do exist and I don t think they have a problem with it. So then you shouldn t even ask questions related to colour. Not applicable. I: It is said that the Slovak language is rather difficult to learn. Is it true for you? What do you think is the reason? What is, in your opinion, the most difficult about it? S: As far as Slovak language is concerned, I think I agree with what s said. It s generally one of the difficult languages I ever met. Why? Because it is one of the languages which skloňuje stále and plural becomes even harder. komu-čomu, kto-čo, s kým-čím, koho-čoho, o kom- o čom, etc. OMG where on earth will you find this complicated language if not Slovakia? I: Each country has its own specific culture and traditions. What are the most remarkable differences between Slovakia and Kenya? S: Biggest differences between the two countries? It s not easy to say the biggest differences as the word culture is so broad hence I will talk about the similarities in cultures. I came to realize that the people are all the same, have the same feelings, can laugh and cry, and can try to accommodate others without fear or favour. I: Slovakia and Kenya have totally different climates. What was the most difficult for you to get used to? S: Winter. I: Is there anything you miss very much about living in Kenya? S: Anything that I miss about Kenya? In Slovak language they say Doma je vždy najlepšie. East or West home is always the best. I miss everything about my motherland Kenya. 10 görüşler ve deneyimler I: Do you like Žilina (and Slovakia) so far? B: Yes, absolutely I love this country and I don t want to go back Turkey yet :) Time is passing really fast in here and I don t want this to be end, but unfortunately it will end sooner or later :\ Y: Exactly! I really like Žilina and all country as well. I: What was your first impression/ experience when you came here? system that I had to do everything by myself which is completely different from Turkey. It was in Slovak and the employees didn t know how to speak English so I felt like I will die here because of hunger :) But I struggled only one week and then I got used to it, there wasn t anything to be nervous about that I thought later :) Y: It was a bit hard for me about communication with Slovak people because most of them cannot speak English. I was hungry and I wanted to eat some food, it was really hard for me to make me full because of the communication. öğrencilerimizin Bestem and Yilmaz from Karabuk University in Turkey Içindekiler B: It was a completely different place that I used to live in and different language from that I didn t know any word so I was a little nervous at the beginning and when I asked someone for help in English no one could answer me so I thought how I would survive in this place for five months. When I came to the dormitory I wanted to eat something but there was a I: Is there anything that you absolutely like/dislike? B: The only thing I didn t like is the weather of this city, I missed the sun. The rest of it is totally perfect, especially the clubs :) Y: No dislikes but I like traffic rules in here, drivers respect pedestrians.

I: What about our university? Is our school system similar to yours? How do you feel in classes among Slovak students? Are they helpful? B: I like the education system in here very much. It s totally different. There are very few people in the classes and it makes the lesson much understandable. I feel like, I m taking private lessons because the teachers are concerning with everyone individually and this is really good for us to absorb the whole subject. I really enjoy taking classes with the Slovak students; they are very helpful and kind to us. Y: The education system is completely different. And I really like education system in here. There are not too many students in the classrooms in here but in Turkey we have lessons with many students. Therefore, lessons in here are more efficient and I learn many things every day. As far as classmates; they are mostly helpful people. When I ask something they always try to help me. I: Were your expectations about school, schoolmates, teachers and the country fulfilled? B: Before I came here I had some doubts about the language because I heard that almost no one can speak English. So that feared me a little. But after I came here I saw that I can communicate with people and that made me relieve. Especially at school our teachers are really taking care of not speaking Slovak for us not to feel out of place and I m very glad of this attitude. Y: Actually I was not expecting that the education system is good because my friends who went to Poland for Erasmus, told me many bad things about schools and education system. But I saw a completely opposite situation in here, so it made me satisfied. I: What are people here like in your opinion? Are they similar to people in Turkey or are they absolutely different? If they are different : in what way? B: They are similar in terms of kindness and helpfulness but Slovak people, especially Slovak girls, are very beautiful and boys are handsome :) Y: Both countries people are friendly. And it is different as far as a night life is concerned, here is too much stuff to do. And about traffic, here it is really better. I: How do you like the weather in Žilina/Slovakia? Wasn t it a bit of shock for you? Or are you used to this type of weather? B: I was really shocked about the weather when I came here. We have röportaj dil sanat eğitim materyalleri çizgi roman

arvamusi ja kogemusi meie õpilased rough winters too but not as extreme as in here. It s terribly cold in here and I am looking forward to see the sun :) Y: Slovakia is colder than my city. At this time my friends are wearing T- shirt and we are still cold. I am still shocking and waiting for the sun. I: Has your English improved since you came? Is, in your opinion, an Erasmus stay a good way how to learn a language? B: Exactly, I improved my English in here. I think Erasmus is a perfect opportunity to socialise and practice other languages with new friends which are from all over the world. Before I came here I wasn t used to speaking much in English and I couldn t improve it only by a written form. If one wants to improve their foreign language they have to practice it by a practical way, in other words they have to speak with foreign people. There is no need to be afraid if one thinks they couldn t speak, trust me when you are obliged to, the word comes out of your mouth by itself :) I: Do people want to talk to you or are they too shy to speak in English? B: My friends from Erasmus are not shy to speak English; they must not be shy because if one decides to go to Erasmus I think they have to be assertive. But except people from Erasmus, some of the Slovak people are shy to speak English, even if they know how to speak it. Y: Some of them are hesitating to speak in English, I think they have been thinking that they have bad English and we will ridicule them. But they should be encouraged. But in Erasmus most of students have good English and we speak anytime and all the time. I: What places in Slovakia and in Žilina have you seen so far and which ones are you planning to see? B: I saw most of Žilina and I saw Martin, too. I am planning to visit Bratislava as soon as the weather gets better. I think it will be much better to see Bratislava when the sun is shining. Also Banská Bystrica, Štiavnica and Košice are the places that I want to see before I come back to my country. Sisukord Y: Absolutely! I believe that I improved my language as daily speech. I all the time learn new words and speaking in a correct way. Erasmus is exactly a good way to improve daily speech of English and I can advice it to everybody. Y: I saw Martin and Bratislava but in Bratislava it was snowing and I couldn t find time to see everything, it was a pity. And I want to go Bratislava again and visit also Košice. Bolo zrejme normálne položiť si otázku, či je vôbec možné, aby sa človek mohol stretnúť na jednom mieste naraz s toľkými študentmi Reminiscences (by those who returned) : Here follow two recollections of our students experiences from abroad thanks to the ERAZMUS program. We will walk you through Norway and Estonia. The photogallery is included at the very end. mälestused Netradičný Erasmus pobyt v Estónsku Pred odletom nás všetkých ovládla už známa cestovateľská horúčka balenie kufrov, snáď stokrát v duchu položená otázka Mám naozaj všetko zbalené??? a zvieranie letenky pevne v ruke. Avšak absolvovanie týchto drobných starostí sa nevyrovná potešeniu z poznávania nových z rôznych kútov nášho veľkého kontinentu. Avšak v jednom estónskom mestečku zvanom Narva to naozaj možné bolo. Tartu Űlikooli Narva Kolledž to bola univerzita, kde sme všetci trávili väčšinu času nášho pobytu vzájomným spoznávaním sa a rozvíjaním našej komunikatívnej kunst materjale koomiks

linguam sententiis et experientiarum contents ALUMNI kompetencie v angličtine. Podstata Intenzívneho Programu spočívala v tom, že všetci budeme vzájomne spolupracovať, pomáhať si, a najdôležitejší cieľ spočíval v utvorení medzinárodných tímov. No a čo by zaujímalo

20 meninger tale Innholdsfortegnelse og erfaringer erindring My name is Martina and I would like to tell you something about the ERASMUS program, since I have been a part of this successful students exchange program. I have been studying in Norway for one semester. My accommodation was in a small town called Bo, in Telemark. The journey there was without any problems and a Norwegian volunteer was waiting for us at the railway station. Afterwards, the nice volunteer showed us to our accommodation. I was living in a flat for two students. I had my own room in which there was an Internet connection, I and my flatmate; we shared a kitchen and a bathroom together. In this small flat, there was everything we needed for our lives. However, we had to order bed sheets; or we could have brought them from Slovakia. In the school, we had very friendly professors, but we had to be careful, Norwegian experience(s) because there is a different way of examining students performance in Norway. Usually, you have two examinations per one semester and you have to get at least 50 percent from each of them to pass a course. On Thursdays, you have meetings in the school at a school cafeteria; where they give you a coffee, a tea, and some pies or other kinds of sweets for free, and you can start talking with other students and - what is more - you can build new relationships with the students. In this school, you can print what you need whenever you need it; you can also freely use the computers and the bibliotheca. I was satisfied in Norway, because in it, there is much beautiful nature - so if you want, you can go on a trip or also try some extreme sports if you like them. If you love nature and are a sporty person, this is the right country for you. Martina Kramerová, AJ-VO, 2 nd year

Do you like English? Do you like travelling? Do you like to get to know new people from different countries? Do you really want to experience a great experience abroad? If yes, you should definitely go to Norway. :) It is my big recommendation. Try it! My amazing Norwegian experience started during the last summer. I went to Trondheim (3 rd biggest town in NO) in the middle of July to participate in a Norwegian language course. There were about 180 Erasmus students from whole Europe in attendance. We attended school 5 times a week and we also made some trips around Trondheim. The most memorable experience for me was rock-climbing in the Munkstigen. After this great three-week long course, I went to the south of Norway. I went to Bø i Telemark and my autumn semester started at the end of August and finished before Christmas. From the very beginning there were some volunteering students who helped us with everything we needed. The first week was an orientation week, so we learned all the important information so you do not need to worry. The school was perfect. Teachers were really, really nice and there were around 50 exchange international students, not only from Europe, but from the whole world. It does not happen often that you also meet American students during your Erasmus. But, in Norway, everything is possible. :) Even though Bø is a very small town, there are some opportunities for spending your free time there. I was not just studying and staying in Bø all the time. I also made some trips to Oslo, Bergen, Skien and to Stavanger. Near Stavanger, there is a really nice fjord with such a great places like Preikostolen. It is one of the most famous destinations when visiting Norway. Maybe you have heard about extremely high prices in Norway. Yes, that is true. But still, if you choose what you buy, you can buy cheap stuff and the quality is still good. It is just up to you what you choose. You can still find a way. Now, I have many friends all around the world and I have improved my English communication skills for sure. I have so many great experiences that I will never forget. Probably it sounds like a turn of speech but it is the truth: My stay in Norway changed my life, in a very positive way. :) Let it happen to you, too. Študenti si tiež osvoja štruktúru seminárnej práce, aspekty parafráz, koncipovania a funkcií abstraktu. V rámci kurzu budú študenti tiež oboznámení s rozdielmi medzi formálnym a neformálnym štýlom písania. Rozvoj gramatickej kompetencie (i) Mgr. Marek Hampl (ii) Mgr. Britská a americká civilizácia a literatúra (iii) Mgr. Zuzana Žilová, PhD. Table des matières matériel d étude Predmet voľne nadväzuje na vedomosti, ktoré študenti získali o britskej a americkej histórii, kultúre a literatúre. Rozvíja už nadobudnuté poznatky, pričom bohato využíva iniciatívu študentov určovať obsah a formu hodiny.

New media. 24 barn iaith a phrofiadau ein myfyrwyr Integrované vyučovanie obsahu a jazyka CLIL BAKALÁRSKE ŠTÚDIUM (i) PaedDr. Danica Gondová, PhD. Povinne voliteľný kurz CLIL integrované vyučovanie obsahu a jazyka je určený študentom, ktorí majú záujem prehĺbiť si vedomosti o najnovších trendoch vo vyučovaní cudzích jazykov. V CLILe ide o integrované vyučovanie obsahu a jazyka, t.j. predmet (napr. výchova k občianstvu, matematika, hudobná výchova a pod.) sa vyučuje prostredníctvom anglického jazyka. 25 MAGISTERSKÉ ŠTÚDIUM Moderné trendy vo vyučovaní anglického jazyka (i) PaedDr. Danica Gondová, PhD. Povinne voliteľný kurz Moderné trendy vo vyučovaní anglického jazyka dáva študentom možnosť získať informácie o najnovších trendoch v metodike vyučovania anglického jazyka. Okrem teoretických vedomostí získajú praktické skúsenosti s prácou s obrazom a s rôznymi typmi textov na hodinách anglického jazyka a nadobudnú zručnosti a návyky v oblasti implementácie získaných poznatkov do vyučovacieho procesu.

Presne, každý to pozná. Dobre, beriem späť nebola takým krásnym a bacuľatým bábätkom. A to bola vlastne predzvesť toho, aký život ju čakal v najbližších rokoch jej života... no nemohla radšej ostať v maminom lone? Okej, pre jej matku by to asi príliš veľká výhra nebola. Však si to len skúste predstaviť toľká váha navyše, chrbtica vykrútená ako paragraf, nohy pripomínajúce tie slonie, vyrážky hádam aj na očných viečkach a to som ešte nespomenula prsníky ich novými najbližšími susedmi by sa stali kolená a guma od teplákov. A takýto osud si nezaslúži žiadna matka, ani tá krkavčia nie. Veď musíme byť trocha kolegiálne a ako ženy držať spolu, no nie? Sofia začala zvesela priberať na váhe, z blonďavých lokničiek sa stali hnedosivé drôty, stehienka sa nafúkli tak, že boli zrazu nerozlučná dvojka a z jej hnedej pokožky sa stala pokožka takej farby, že ak by ste ju postavili nahú k stene a kázali jej zavrieť While Soňa Mičinská is an author lucid and almost confessional, Alena Mučková (at the end) does present some statements that seem suspiciously untrue and she appears to be closer to a dreamstate. We invite all artists including - but not limited to - writers, sculptors, ilustrators and dancers to follow their example and participate in our small showrooms. Just contact someone from the Department staff or the editorial board and he/she will provide you with the details considering the accepted forms of evidence.

oči, splynula by s ňou. творения Boris Karlkoff 2. KAPITOLA Sofia začala dospievať v čase, keď to ani sama nečakala. No, asi žiadne normálne dievča by to nechcelo. Soňa Mičinská, AJ-VO, 2 nd year комиксы
