Mr Granger: My favourite part about Christmas is eating turkey!!! Mrs Watkins: My favourite part about Christmas is decorating the Christmas Tree! Miss Bond: My favourite part about Christmas is waking up on Christmas morning and looking in my stocking. Mr Wright: My favourite part about Christmas is when my family makes a lot of food! 9 WINTER WONDERLAND!!!! By Ethan 2T It s in winter. You can ice skate in winter wonderland. It is in Hyde Park. They have a super cool basketball game there when you can earn many different types of prizes. Nevertheless, be careful because there are many Roller coaster rides that can go high. If you go there, I know you will have so much fun. 9

13 FOOTBALL FOR THE GIRLS! By Rosie 6mc On Tuesday the 20 th of November, Emmanuel girls team travelled to Talacre for a football match against New End. 1-NIL TO US! After a few minutes of saving goals, defending and marking, the team were well into the game. After a small while, Emmanuel (Vesa from 6Mc) took a shot! The opposing team saved the goal before accidently dropping it into the net. Half time and Emmanuel were taking the lead. Rosie Roberts scored. 2-NIL TO EMMANUEL! Soon it was end of game and A WIN FOR EMMANUEL! We played really well; it was our best performance yet as a school team. The first goal was one we will never forget, a classic nutmeg. Says Freya Fordham, one of the team. 13

14 We interviewed Miss Willis to find out a bit more about her. Were you a teacher before you came here? Yes. I ve been teaching since I worked in two other schools, in Buckinghamshire and Westminster No, I wish I could. When I was young, I used to play the recorder but I stopped practicing. Dogs! I like Chihuahuas (I used to have one), French Bulldogs and Hungarian Vizslas. I love teaching English and writing because when I was young I was not good at it and I want children to know that with practice you can do anything. I also love it in Science when kids just go Wow. 14

16 The Champions league! The new season Champions league has now started with many teams participating this year. The final will be held next year in Madrid (town of Spain) but not in the Real Madrid stadium, but at the home of Athletico Madrid. This year many teams are going to be in it are Liverpool, Manchester United and many other teams who have reached in the top four. I WONDER WHO WILL WIN? BY Rayaan 6d 16

17 A Harry Potter story by Jake, 4W There was once a boy called Harry Potter and he was a wizard and a very clever boy. He always travelled with his friends, Ron and Hermione. As Christmas was getting closer, they decided to go to Winter Wonderland to have a Christmas adventure. They boarded a train to Winter Wonder and on the train, Harry saw a strange looking man. The man said I am Voldemort an, evil man! all three of pulled out their wand and started fighting Voldemort. Out of nowhere came monsters with green eyes and crinkly dusty grey skin. Harry Potter and his friends flicked their wand at the monsters. The monsters grabbed Harry, Hermione and Ron but suddenly the monsters turned into ashes. Harry and his friends excitedly continued their journey to Winter Wonderland. 17
